Questions & Answers

The guitar has a battery. Where do I place it?

I wouldn't worry too much about cutting out a compartment to store batteries in, the guitar is thick, so you should have no problem! You could probably strap them to the outside with some duct tape as a temporary measure.

Likewise, does the back of the guitar also have a sunburst finish? Or is it another, flat black color?

On the back, there is a sunburst. It is an incredibly well-made photo. It is a finely crafted guitar with a beautiful finish.

The spare set of strings which comes with this bundle are of decent quality, right? Is there anything you would recommend if not?

I am not sure yet. It has been a while since I had to change them. There are no problems with the ones that came with the guitar. Overall, I think the deal is good. Guitar is nice and the amp is decent. For about $15, Guitar Center will sell you a new set of strings if you don't like the current ones

Worked well if a little creativity was added
4/5

My instruments of choice are acoustic guitar and electric guitar. I wanted to see if they played well and if I liked the way they sounded. The first thing I did was tune it up, and everything seemed fine. The only issue I had was that there was no instruction manual about how to use the amp and The tune was incredibly unpredictable so I eventually figured out how it worked but quickly realized it was kind of weird. There would be some chords where it would sound good and some chords where it wouldn't. In addition, I noticed that the tuner seemed to be tuned flatter than usual. The luthier took a look at the guitar at a local guitar store and agreed to charge me for having it set up properly. During this time, the shop worked on it for two In fact, it turned out that the tuner was not set at 440 Hz for guitar E6. Fortunately, that was quickly fixed, and now the right tuning is available. Adjusting the neck of the guitar, however, did not help the guitar stop creeping. When luthier discovered that the strings on the guitar were not heavy enough, he fixed them. There were zero references in the reference string. The word 0 has been replaced with 8. The term "whatever that means" is not defined. There was too little thickness in this picture. Now that he has put the strings on the guitar, it plays in tune and sounds fantastic. A $38 fee was charged to me. It was only USD 100 to have it professionally setup, but it was well worth the money. However, other than that, I believe this package gives a lot of value for its cost. The situation is satisfactory for me at the moment. As you may have already noticed, this is a common incident on new guitars, so it does not come as a surprise.

It is a great guitar, but it is only an average You did an excellent job! As a result of some break-in I swapped out the strings with Fender
4/5

It is set 09 in the series. I had to redo the tuning every time I picked it up for the first few weeks. It now keeps a much better tune. I think it just needed more time to get used to it. I have never dealt with a guitar in this price range before, so perhaps this is common with guitars in the same price range. I'm old too, so I'm used to tuning my low E to a note from the keyboard then tuning each higher string to the fifth fret. However, when I do this, I find that the higher notes untuned since they aren't aligned with a tuning machine. This makes no sense to me. Perhaps I am becoming tone deft as I get older. In any case, when I use the electronic tuner, all of the riffs sound great, so I'll just keep wanting to know why and let it be. In terms of sound, this is a very good track. In general, the tone is similar to that of a Mexican strat, except at position 1 and 2 of the pickups. Hard to describe but As I confessed to you in the beginning, I play position 4 almost exclusively. We didn't have pickup switches for 5 positions 40 years ago, so I spent a lot of time finding the perfect point between 2 and 3. I think that the Yamaha voices in posts 1 and 2 are like that, while the mex strat voices in posts 3 and 5 are like that.

The more I play it, the more I think of it as As a general rule, I find that I play most of my games from positions 1 and 2. I could only give the amp a fair rating. However, what can you expect at this price? Although I do not have a way to test it, I believe the wattage is overstated on the amp. When you plug this guitar into a Roland Jazz Chorus, it sounds like a completely different instrument. Surround sound systems in my house are powered by Yamaha amplifiers. It is a fantastic amp when paired with Elac speakers, which makes me guess I expected more. I'd be willing to bet that this is just some crap amp made in China under the Yamaha brand name. People at Yamaha who design music stuff didn't have anything to do with it, according to me. My expectation was that this amplifier would have the same quality as THR 10 C. This is not the case. I would strongly recommend your looking at the Yamaha THR 10C practice amp (if you need a good amp for practice)

So, do you recommend Yes, I agree! In my opinion, this is the best product under $500 on the market. When asked what setup would be best to start with, I would recommend this one. What matters most is that someone can continue to play this guitar for a long time. It isn't necessary to upgrade the guitar, but the amp will need to be upgraded. I was playing a guitar blind for the purpose of a blind taste test, so I gathered a few friends over to hear how it sounded. They couldn't see which guitar I played. As a kid I used to play the Squier guitar my nephew bought, which is this Yamaha, and as a kid I played an American made Strat guitar for fun. The riffs I played on each guitar were the same. They all chose the Squier as #3, which was not a big surprise to me. The fact that they had such a hard time choosing between the Strat and Yamaha was also surprising to me. This guitar is capable of playing equally well as much more expensive ones, with the right amp.

It's a great guitar at a good price
5/5

I'm just learning how to play guitar, but I know a little about it- Ukuleles have been a part of my family for a few years and I have quite a collection of them. In spite of those reservations, I am really impressed with the quality and construction From the moment I took the guitar out of its box, I noticed how well made this was. The frets were smooth and well executed. That finish is dark blue and I love it. There are no flaws in the body finish. Based on what I understand, the PAC12 is made from less expensive woods (Agathis for the body, and Sonokeling for the fretboard) than At the same time, there is nothing that appears or feels cheap. The sound is great to my newbie ears, even though I have read different body woods provide differing tones. There is no doubt that the setup is superb. A low level of activity is observed- It doesn't take much pressure for me to make good tones as a beginner. I was able to adjust the intonation fairly easily and it seems pretty good. This guitar is easier to adjust and has tuners that stay in tune. I realize there are ways in which it can be improved. Although Yamaha's brand can provide higher quality pickups, name brand tuners, etc. , I am still blown away, being so impressed with the quality from the low end of their products. I read reviews that indicate this to be a "Golden Age" of value for beginner instruments. My opinion is also that level guitars are the best!.

guitar would make a great gift for a beginner! It seemed to me that this would be an adequate starting point for a beginner
5/5

There's no way this could have exceeded my expectations. It's high-quality, sounds amazing, and doesn't go out of tune without a fight. There is only one thing I would replace, and it is the amplifier, but only for higher sound quality, otherwise it works and sounds good. It is definitely worth it for the price, it is hard to go wrong with this guitar. It even sparked an offer from my guitar instructor to play with it live. It should definitely be among your top three priorities if you are a beginner or even a little more advanced and on a budget.

This has a lot of This is a good recording
5/5

This little guitar gets 5 stars because I feel like you can't beat the quality for the price. I have played Gibson, Fender, Gretch, and all the other great brands when I was younger. Obviously the best guitars are those at the top of the range. This little gem has price tags that are outrageous compared to the rest. The chords sync easily and the strings are not hard to fret the sound is good, and there are enough adjusting controls for different effects. If you want better strings, you will need them. In my opinion, the amp is "usable" in the room it is placed in.
