Questions & Answers

Would it be ok for a 5 year old to watch that?

There are no hidden fees and it's a really good deal Maybe too heavy for a kid? Cheap electric guitar but too heavy for a kid? You should make sure that your 5-year-old is strong enough to hold 8 lbs. Describe the instrument. Although the surface of the stick is shiny, it is also a bit slippery, so if the child stands and tries to hold it, it will slip off.

Can the amp be powered by a wall I appreciate it. ?

It has a standard 120v plug that plugs into My grandson is perfectly happy with this amp. It's not fancy and plenty good enough for his needs.

Is there any possibility of adding ?

For the tremlo bar to be mounted, a new bridge would have to be constructed. It would be required to carve out the back of the Strat body to accept the claw on the underside of the bridge that secures 3 or 5 springs. It might be set up for whammy bar duty in the hands of the right luthier, but I doubt anyone would be interested in paying what that work would involve. Before hitting the road, let the beginner master the basics of playing first, then get the real deal in a few years!

Selected User Reviews For Fender Squier 3/4-Size Kids Mini Strat Electric Guitar - Surf Green Learn-to-Play Bundle w/Amp, Cable, Tuner, Strap, Picks, Fender Play Online Lessons, and Austin Bazaar Instructional DVD

There are several problems with the quality, and it must be tweaked before it is In spite of playing guitar for nearly 40 years (acoustic), I purchased this guitar for my grandson to learn the instrument
3/5

He is told that his instructor wants him to start on electric because it will be easier for him to fret. The cool part is that it's free. In light of all the 4-star reviews, Reviewers have given it five stars, so it must be a good product. First of all, I was surprised to find out that the guitar I was sent was not brand A shipment/storage mishap may have caused the product to deteriorate. It looks like the pick guard shipped with a protective plastic on it, but we did not see it in the box. It was scratched up and dirty out of the box, with a few scraps of 'saran wrap' still tucked under the fasteners. Most likely, this was the customer's fault. An item that was returned but refunded Packaged and shipped to me (WHY is it that I always seem to get home with someone else's return? )

Better yet, the I was in awe of the intonation I've owned (and still own) hundreds (and hundreds) of guitars and this one was the worst. The action was way too high and the high E tuner had to be adjusted with vise-grips. I like to play around with them, have made setups, and I have done a lot of things with them. The nuts and bolts were replaced I rebuilt the bridges and frets, heck, I even leveled the frets He refinished an old fiddle he received from his cousin. To save money, I use my more affordable instruments when I tinker]. A new guitar needs a set-up, but I'm not sure if these are included in the box It's up to each player to get it the way he or she If I don't want to replace the cheap factory strings and tweak the action, then should I be forced to replace the tuners, the nut, reset the neck, and who knows what else on a Considering there are a lot of folks willing to spend $30 or more, maybe I should do it! The price was increased by $50 over the guitar's cost just to make it bearable and then it got a 5-star rating Is that right? A hint! (Hint. Guitars priced at $100 aren't the same as they used to be. Basically, you're going to pay $150 for the guitar and whatever time you have! )

Well, let's build it right and charge me $150. Hell, maybe even $200. If that were the case, it would be better than this "$100" POS and I would no longer have to spend a weekend messing If it were 5 stars, I would give it a thumbs up. I end my rant here. Then I decided to return it rather than do all this repair I'm going to ask them to replace it, at least so I know this one was not already returned, When I receive the replacement for this item, I will update this review. The rating would be higher if this was a lemon, everyone/company has a bad day now and then. If the replacement is just as awful as the previous one, I'll probably drop the $40-$50 rather than see another one Spend $50 on new strings, nuts, tuners, etc. Do a new set-up I'll look at his neck and reset it if need be (after all, it's my grandson). Then why would you have spent the extra $100 if you couldn't give it to him tomorrow? That is outrageous. I will update this review once I have finished all that. It is not possible for me to add I got the replacement! This is a current update from September 15, 2015. Compared to the original tuners, the new ones are better, but the setup is still problematic. In other words. A little heavier string (10s) was used with a wound 4th string since the factory strings (9s) were too light. Because there was no need to adjust the neck relief, I adjusted the action primarily by changing bridge has pretty poor quality, the Allen head set screws vary so much that some of them are too large for the wrench it comes with. I have (generously) revised the review to a three star rating. As long as the neck and frets were level and the neck relief was adequate. It still seems to me that they put a little more quality into this guitar and then pass the cost on to the consumer.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

My 8 year old granddaughter was very tiny so I wanted her to learn how to play a guitar. There is no question that electric guitars are easier than acoustics. My intent was for her to enjoy messing around with it and making noise and experimenting with it. A great instrument for this is the electric guitar! There was no negative review I found on youtube, and I agree with that. I just love how perfect this little guitar is, and it's not a toy, it's a real guitar. The guitar does not cost $500 and up. You need to keep your expectations in check. According to the Youtube reviews, it needs to be tuned more often (a complaint mentioned A nylon string instrument is what I use for my playing. My life is like this, so I am used to it. I don't see the big deal here. As a matter of fact, it aids her in her ear-training and she is able to tell when the instrument is Tuner included is sort of like an "add on you get what you pay for" kind of thing. Unfortunately, I've never had a successful experience with it. In response to my contact with the company, I immediately received another voucher. It's a really cool guitar, and the customer service is top notch! If you are looking for something to do with your kids, I recommend this to anyone, even adults. A parlor guitar but with a smaller sound.

The guitar is a great choice for small hands
5/5

We bought this guitar for my wife, who has small hands and found a standard-sized one too small for her. In one week or less, I received a guitar bundle with a tuner. We were very pleased with what we got for the price. The Fender tuner made tuning the guitar a breeze without having to plug it into an old tuner. My Peavey Bandit 112 sounds great through this. We've been playing it for a couple days without any problems. It stays in tune without any issues.

The guitar is super cool
5/5

The present I got for my son's 9th birthday is a great hit. He likes its size, as well as that its not too heavy, and the blue is striking, as well as that we're both in love with that color. It was to my advantage to get adjusted while I was on it A new set of strings was put on, and the neck needed some work, but it now This was paired with the Fender Frontman amp, and he has also been enjoying it. The guitar in red that I bought for my stepson 15 years ago is similar to this one in blue. It was love at first sight for both boys.

It has good sound quality and a small size, but it's still powerful
5/5

It was a gift for my daughter, who is five years old. Her favorite thing about it is that she Playing this game is easy because everything you need is in it. I really like the sound quality, and although the amp is small, it's pretty loud and sounds great.

I am very disappointed in the quality of It sucked me in just because of the name, although I am not a musician and I do not know anything about guitars
3/5

It wasn't a guitar I could sell, so it was returned. Christmas morning, it did not work at all. It appears it was assembled by a child Thanks for your kind words, When I tested the amp (with no earth wire!) and fixed the supplied cable that was completely useless due to a short between the shield/earth and the live, I decided to open the guitar, but I was shocked to see the most horrible soldering I had I connected the loose jack wire, but the guitar still sounded terrible. After messing around with it a bit more, I took apart the entire guitar and discovered that the strings and everything else were earthed to the live signal wire. Come Wires were switched around, the earth wires were attached to the shielding, and the shielding was re-instated All is well now that everything is soldered in place. Though I do not know if it is a good guitar or not, I am pretty certain I should not have had to rewire the whole damn thing to make it Not a single QC was done.
