Questions & Answers

What are the different types of humbuckers available?

I believe it is the ESP brand. They aren't bad in the least.

What was the location of production?

Indonesia

Is this a guitar that people with small hands can easily play?

Yes, it has a thin C profile neck. Although not as thin as an Ibanez Wizard III neck, it is suitable for players with small hands.

A lovely and well-crafted piece
5/5

I'll try to keep this brief: I built this instrument for both veterans and beginners. This is a fantastic piece of writing. It's a well-made and stunning instrument. br>br>The black satin finish is stunning, and photos do not do it justice; this guitar exudes elegance, and the build quality matches its appearance: This guitar has a nice weight to it and doesn't feel too bulky or uncomfortable to play. br>br>In terms of sound, this guitar has a rich, warm tone, especially when played through an amp. While it isn't muddy, it isn't the brightest guitar, so if you record with a DAW (as I do), you'll have to tweak the sound to make it bright enough to cut through the mix. Overall, I think the pickups are quite good for the price, but they can't compete with Seymour Duncan and EMG pickups. br>br>As this is my first ESP LTD guitar, I have to say that for $400, I am blown away. This guitar has the look, feel, and sound of a much more expensive instrument, and the build quality and weight make it incredibly easy and comfortable to play while sitting or standing. I can't say enough good things about this guitar, and I'll be purchasing more ESP LTD gear in the future.

This guitar is fantastic
5/5

I've been playing guitar on and off for about ten years, so when the Pandemic hit, I figured what better way to get through it than to pick up the guitar once more. I decided to go with this baby after a week of searching, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. First and foremost, the guitar is stunning; the jumbo frets are ideal for someone like me who can play but isn't the best, and it plays beautifully, easily among the best I've ever played. The pickups aren't spectacular, but they're not bad either. I'm definitely going to swap them out for some Emgs. For both beginners and master shredders, I strongly recommend this guitar. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.

Purchase of an open box
3/5

Because the label on this guitar said used when I bought it, I believe it was purchased and returned in an open box. Someone bought it before me, and the low side of the bridge was raised up, and there were extra heavy strings on it, so the strings must have been hitting the frets. When I first played it, those strings vibrated on the frets as well. I used a file to file down the frets (and level them), reset the neck and bridge, and re-strung the guitar with proper gauge strings. I also added a Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Love bridge pickup. It now plays and sounds fantastic for a total investment of less than $350. Splitting the bridge pickup produces some really cool tones, the action is great, and the body is a little thinner, so it's not too heavy. I really like the satin black finish, but I wish the fret board was darker. It darkened a little with some oil, but a dark fretboard against the black satin would be sick. I also wish the neck binding wasn't black. I'm an m-person. This is the third time I've seen 1000, xtone, and this. I'm a huge fan of LTD. It's an amazing guitar if you set it up properly and add the right pickup(s). 5 stars for the final product, 3 stars because I purchased a semi-used guitar that required 3 hours of work to get it to play properly.

This is a fantastic guitar! To complement my other primary guitar, a Strat, American Standard, I needed a guitar with humbucking pickups capable of producing a "heavy metal" sound for recording
5/5

I've always wanted a genuine Gibson Les Paul for the job, but the prices are absurdly high, owing more to their legendary status than any actual qualitative differences from other less expensive Les Paul - clones of a style After watching, listening to, and reading numerous reviews and recommendations from a variety of well-known people, I decided to make a decision. This particular ESP model came highly recommended and was at the top of numerous "Best Guitars for Metal Under $500" lists, according to well-respected sources. I was very interested when I saw this one listed as an Amazon Warehouse Deal (which means it was returned) for only $276. br> Because I only intended to use it for recording, it didn't matter to me how it looked, or if it had a few dents or scratches. I don't give a damn about anything. The only thing that worried me was how it would play and sound. At that price (and with free shipping thanks to Amazon Prime), I figured it was well worth the risk. THE GUITAR IS EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AND FREE OF FLAWS! It arrived in a battered box, but it was well packed and protected, and it has no flaws. The fit and finish are flawless, and the frets are in excellent condition. The action is low and the intonation is extremely accurate when seated. The neck is as slender as a razor's edge. It appears to have been set up by a professional right out of the box. It's a lot of fun to play, and the tone is exactly what I wanted. Even the stock pickups are better than I expected; when I ordered it, I assumed I'd have to add some Seymour Duncan pickups or something to get the sound I wanted, but after recording with it for a while, I don't think I'll need to (though I may still want to, just to see if it could be even better). But, having played a few "real" Les Pauls in the past, I can confidently say that this guitar can compete with them. This purchase has made me extremely happy.

This guitar is a great "value
4/5

" This is something I've recently added to my collection. Right out of the box, it was perfect. It has a slim, lightweight neck that has a lot of action. It's a lot easier and faster to play than traditional Les Paul styles, so it's a thumbs up!.

A fantastic guitar for the middle range
5/5

Right out of the box, it was nearly perfect. The action was extremely low, and the stock pickups, despite their low cost, sounded fantastic. br>I bought it as a present for my best friend, who lives a few states away, so I didn't get to play it for a while. I was pleasantly surprised by the high level of quality for the price. br>This instrument comes highly recommended. It's beautiful to look at, play with, and listen to. 5 stars for the price.

This was purchased as a Christmas present for my son. I just took a look at it after opening the box. It's a lovely piece of music! Everything is in working order, and I will provide an update on how it performs later. Update. This guitar is as beautiful as it is to play! It has made my son very happy! He's a player who is somewhere between beginner and advanced.
