It was a choice I made because I wanted a more LatAm sound to do a song. There was too much cowboy sound in the cowbell sound, and the keys were very hard to control when I wanted drumsticks in my hand. I couldn't have used my jam block for that song because it was too loud and too bright. I was just right with this. We have been surprised at how well it has held up There isn't a scratch on the wood at all.
From Pearl, this is a sweet item. There are a lot of things I am great at Despite having an electronic drum kit from Yamaha (a must if you live in a NYC apartment), I wanted something a little different. Is that cowbell? You are Fugettaboudit. There is still a cowbell sound, but it's milder I like the This is a sharp and focused approach. On the wall, they hung a few of these. As I looked at the image, I noticed the shape and the word "Ash. ". A baseball bat is made out of that material. It sounded okay at least a couple of times, so I was able to get an idea of what it was like. My favorite part of the story was the ending. There was something else out there I thought could be better. In the meantime, I watched some Youtube videos at home, some of which were good, others not so great. There seems to be a slight variation in the sound of Pearl Ash Tone Woodblocks. Due to all the positive recent reviews, I bought it, and I am extremely pleased with A great solid, but not too loud, sound can be heard from this. This is one of my favourite recording devices, and I love using it for recording. Invest in a piece of wood that has a musical tone and sounds like a great piece of wood.
A great value for the money. The Ash Tone Woodblock is perfect for my project. A great solid, but not too loud, sound can be heard from this. This would be a good choice for someone who wants a piece of wood that actually sounds like it's made of great wood and has a great tone.
The PAB20 and PAB100 wood blocks by Pearl came with this as well. This first one arrived dead in the box, and the replacement was perfect. These can crack fairly easily, so don't hit them too hard. The mounting point being at an angle makes it a bit difficult to position if you have a very tight set-up. It's a bit complicated to get it up, but once it's there, it doesn't move. I am very happy with this purchase.
I like the price and the sound is good. It gets a big thumbs up from my drummer. I received my order within 24 hours.
Unlike all other wood mountable products, this wood is real wood There is one type of block you can obtain. You're doing a great job.
A good cowbell with good quality and easy to mount on a regular cowbell It was perfect for the New Orleans/Dixie band in which I played. It is recommended.
