I bought another one when it finally broke. I love it for keeping a groove, particularly when the sound does not need to be too loud. Unlike the other brand, I never need to worry about it twisting or coming apart, as its rubber bands hold it together, rather than splitting it into two pieces. I would not want a pair of maracas before I bought this, as this is only a shaker.
