Selected User Reviews For Numark Mixtrack Pro FX – 2 Deck DJ Controller For Serato DJ with DJ Mixer, Built-in Audio Interface, Capacitive Touch Jog Wheels and FX Paddles
In spite of the fact that the jog wheels were big, I didn't feel they were very precise when it came Could it be that I had too much hope? returned mine because of problems with the headphone jack of Virtual DJ. My biggest complaint is the software (Or the lack thereof). Many features are locked out unless you pay for Serato Pro which is a one-time payment of $130 or $10 per In addition to this controller, Virtual DJ is the only software that works with it. You can pay either a one-time fee of $350 for unlimited controllers or a monthly fee of $19 for unlocking this controller. In the end, however, you are going to have to pay "something" if you wish to have the most from.
Numark makes some incredible DJ controllers, as I'd like to point out. The comparison to this controller is staggering. I have tried other brands in the past, but nothing beats this one. Aside from the pitch sliders, I like the fact that it's extremely robust and looks professional. Despite its modest price point, the Mixtrack Pro FX comes to the table with more features than you might expect from a controller at its level. A great example of this is the mixer section, where I was impressed to see effect paddles that are normally found on mixers with huge budgets. The previous controller I used completely lost all of its functionality, so I bought this one. A month ago, I used it at one of my events, and I was blown away by its performance. It was a very pleasant experience using this controller, and I recommend it to both newcomers and professionals. The work you do at Numark is amazing.
As far as I'm concerned, this console works wonderfully. The only things I have to complain about are One of the FXs on the middle of the mixer I only use is Echo. This does not bring a bottom to change the FX directly with the console but can be changed in the software by switching from decks 1 and 2 to decks 3 and 4 and then returning to decks 1 and 2 to change the Filter, Bass, Mid, Treble and Level. The deck needed to be adjusted every time I changed from Deck 1 to Deck 2 to Deck 3 to Deck However, the price and the overall performance make it worthy of five stars in general. Just for these two things I rated it four stars, but it deserves five stars if we consider everything else.
SPIN 2 was a replacement for my The algorithm) controller. For beginner DJs, this is the perfect size. It's neither too big nor too small. The software has effects and is integrated with Serato lite. I find it to be a very powerful control. However, it does not have XLR output or at least one input. Would have loved it if it had at least one XLR output and RCA output. Additionally it can be integrated with 4 deck software with just a push of the deck button, but the EQs for deck 1/3, deck 2/4, and deck 5 are all shared. The controller is a great value for the money, but it does have some downsides.
Go for it if you're a beginner. With some pretty good features not found on many other boards in this price range (a decent onboard FX, autolooping, and filter knobs), this board is just right. A really solid construction and the jog wheels are on the heavier side, which is nice. I wish it had an alternate output on top of the normal RCA, but it isn't anything out of the ordinary, so I can't complain other than that. Even though the serato dj lite will do for a bedroom dj just trying to learn or for small parties, it is worth the upgrade. I think it is an excellent price considering everything it offers.
I would have given it a 5 star rating if it had been available. There is a bit of a problem with the faders. However, the jog wheels, pitch controls and performance pads of this computer are fantastic. As with the Denon DJ Prime controller and the Akai equipment, these buttons have the same function. Be sure all the controls for effects and volume are set to 12 o'clock when you first start using this unit. If you aren't going to use your mic, you can keep its volume at zero. If you are starting out with the master volume at 9 o'clock, set it to that.
A few words In case your software goes crazy save your tracks to the two decks in advance and load your dj program before playing (see video), the mixtrack will behave like a malfunctioning computer. In addition to updating the DJ program, I updated the firmware and my Mac OS, but the problem persists. I found the customer service team to be friendly, but it did nothing to help me.
My main controller Numark NVii is a Numark NVii II. I purchased this controller as a backup unit to be able to use on the go. For redundancy purposes during a gig, you should always use backup equipment in case the main equipment fails. It is ideal for that purpose to use this "quick and dirty" controller. In the event that I need to change it quickly with my main unit, that's a big advantage. Despite the fact that it doesn't have all of the features of its larger siblings, it still has enough functionality to handle most tasks. However, there is one word of caution. You need either a Serato DJ Pro license for $149 or to sign up for the $9 monthly fee to use Serato DJ Pro with this controller. You will be charged $99 per month for the It was a mistake for me to think that the Numark NVii license could be used with this controller since I already have this It is not possible. It is necessary to purchase an entirely new license in order to unlock the In this case, you should plan to spend at least $380 (controller + license) if you wish to use Serato DJ Pro with it. This is one of the reasons I gave it four stars.
