4/5

I'd give this a 4 out of 5 star rating. Although I give it five stars, the system isn't designed that way. Even so, there are a few flaws that prevent me from giving it an ideal score.
1. Pre- The drilled holes for the pick guard and control plate do not line up, but this isn't something I can't fix.
2. The chrome plating on the bridge has been scratched, and the neck plate has been poorly finished.
3. The machine heads are labeled R1, R2, R3, R4, R3 (at least on my kit). R3 (? ) and have a low quality.
4. Last but not least, there were no complicated instructions included with this kit. br>br>Now that I've aired my minor grievances, let's move on to the positive aspects of this kit.
1. The price! It's difficult to imagine how they're able to make a profit on quality raito at this price.
2. The high level of excellence. The hardware was as expected with inexpensive kits like these, but the pickups, controls, and switches look and feel above par, and assembly appeared to be fairly simple, requiring little or no soldering. However, the real test will be in the sound, and that bridge has yet to be crossed.
3. The packing of the items. All of the components were well-wrapped and neatly stacked.
4. To be honest, I was unconcerned about electronics or hardware because I plan to upgrade the majority of them. br>However, the body and neck quality were my main concerns. There was no need to be concerned about anything other than a few slightly off-center holes. The body is in good condition, with good routing and grain, but the wood is soft, so a finishing polish may be necessary. The cat's meow, on the other hand, is the neck! The fretboard is made of ebony, and the condition is excellent. a one-piece maple neck with a cut headstock And as for the frets, very little work will be required on these guys. br>br>If you're looking for something similar, my advice is to go straight to the checkout line. You won't find a better deal, but be prepared to Hot Rod it a little.

My son bought this for his first guitar build, and it turned out to be a fantastic father-son project
4/5

I was blown away by how well the neck and body fit together. The fit was perfect without the use of shims. Almost all of the pre-existing structures, on the other hand, have been demolished. The pick guard and the drilled holes for the bridge were out of alignment. In the end, I was able to fill the pre- Dowels were used to drill holes, and new holes were drilled as well. The frets were a little rough around the edges. There was a lot of leveling and polishing to be done. Cannon plugs were used to connect the pickups, switch, and input (no soldering was required). I started with 120 grit and worked my way down to 1200 grit sandpaper. My son requested an older, classic look, so we didn't paint or stain. Six coats of tru oil gun stock finish were applied, with each coat sanded with 000 steel wool in between. The natural beauty of the wood was enhanced by the gun stock finish. Mother's brand polish was used to polish the entire piece of metal. The single coil pickups, despite their low cost, produce a great blues sound. My son stated that he will most likely upgrade the bridge and pickups at some point in the future, but that he is happy with the parts that were provided. If the holes had lined up, I would have given it five stars. It would have been simpler to put the guitar together if it had arrived without any pre-assembled parts. Instead of having misaligned holes, it had drilled holes. In general, I'm very pleased with the guitar. I would strongly suggest this kit for a father-son project.

This guitar has a very light body! Ok
5/5

I had a lot of fun putting this together! The money spent was well spent!! Even though I didn't make anything, I still call it a build because it was my first ever guitar build. Having said that. . . This guitar is ideal for any beginner builder or player, but if you've been playing for a while, there are a few issues to be aware of when comparing this kit to a fully finished name brand guitar purchased from a music store or online factory. 1 It is a light-weight wood that may feel good to some! But the head stock was outweighing the body and diving on me, which I didn't like. The electronics are functional! And they're incredibly simple to set up and use!! The sound is distinctive, but the pots are not as dynamic as those found in other, more expensive kits or name brands, so I plan to upgrade the electronics at some point. Tuners are very effective. However, they are suspect. It took some twerking to get the strings set up, but that's why I bought this model or kit in the first place. All in all, it was well worth the effort! However, if you have high expectations, spend the extra money to get a guitar with better wood than the body of this one. If you want to learn more about how to build or care for a guitar and want a simple build that is completely playable and allows you to gain a better understanding of this type of musical instrument, this is the build for you. This is perfect. fyi. To get the body to outweigh the headstock for balance, I added custom leather and copper rivets to this guitar, as well as a bass bridge cover.

That's fantastic, but there's still a lot more to come
4/5

The unboxing experience was fascinating. Everything was there and in working order, and there were even instructions for putting it together. Making it a player will take more time and effort, but that's why I bought this kit in the first place--to learn how to make it a player. to be able to perform some of these tasks The neck/fingerboard were surprisingly good for the price: satin finish, dressed fret ends, no discernible warp or twist; it did require some leveling, which I'm not sure I did perfectly, but that can be adjusted. The nut height is unknown at this time. Pilot holes have been drilled in the body block and it has been nicely routed. I'm not sure if they're perfect; at first glance, one of the neck screw holes appears to be misplaced, but we'll see. Filler will be required to cover minor tooling marks on the body as well as a few small dents. A lot of sanding is required, and this wood does not work well; It's more difficult than its weight suggests. I plan to paint the body, but I'll need it to be glass smooth, which will take some time. Use the no-name strings only for alignment; String up a tune you like and make some serious adjustments to your nut, pickups, truss rod, and so on. I don't have a lot of free time, so this will take some time; once I'm finished, I'll see if I can add photos, possibly a video, and better comments.
