What the shoulder rest is intended to do is work as it should. There might be things I could have done to make it a little more comfortable and durable, but it may just be my own preference. There is no metal in the mute, and it doesn't cause the sound to be blocked all the way as metal ones do, so it gives almost the same enjoyment as playing without one. As far as I know, my neighbors cannot hear me practice. This is something I highly recommend.

most challenging thing about it is that there are only three options for its size. I fall between slots 2 and 3, so it may get a bit inconvenient, but other than that it's very useful!.
