It is, in fact, included.
Yes, it's a very relaxing place to be.
Hello, JSIbr>I'm not sure what you mean by tall, but the height of the violin at the point where it's flush with the end varies along its length. The area where you rest your chin is slightly more than 1/2" from the top of the fiddle, but it rises to about 3/4" in height toward the instrument's center. It's perfect for me because it's "cupped" in the middle and fits perfectly under my chin. br>I hope this information is useful.
For a 3/4-size violin, it will be a little too high.

It's not easy to play the violin or the fiddle in a comfortable way. Especially one that has been set up in the traditional manner. Furthermore, you are not obligated to play the violin in the manner in which your formal teachers instruct you. After all, are you "playing" music for the sake of entertainment or for the sake of torment? When I play the fiddle, my neck and shoulder become stiff. I decided that a better shoulder rest would be beneficial, so I purchased a very expensive adjustable shoulder rest with a hook that hooks over the shoulder. It was somewhat helpful, but not significantly so. I had no idea there were different types of violin chinrests (shapes). I didn't realize I needed chinrest covers until I was looking for a way to alleviate the ridge on my regular chinrest that was digging into my jawbone. Then I discovered that some people, including professional symphony musicians, use a centered chinrest. Some teachers are aware of the shoulder rest and chinrest options, and instead of attempting to mold the student's body, they set up the violin to fit the student. So, figure out where you want the instrument to be naturally, and what works best for your body. Perhaps a chinrest in the middle of the fiddle would be more comfortable for you. Also, if you have allergies, look up information on the various woods used in chinrest construction. br>br>I'm really happy with this flat flesch chinrest because it doesn't dig into my jawbone and allows me to hold my fiddle in a more natural and comfortable position. With this chinrest, I don't have to turn my head or grip as much, and I've returned to using my cheap shoulder rest for friction.
esp. for violinists who are just starting out to those who have a little more experience. This chin rest is excellent, smooth, and comfortable; I have a giraffe neck, and the thickness of this chin rest perfectly complements my shoulder rest, supporting my natural posture. It's a little difficult to set up at first, but once it's up and running, it's completely static.
However, it did not fit my chin properly and had to be returned. The chin and shoulder rests are designed to be worn in different ways. But it's worth a shot.
The posts are securely fastened together. This chinrest was purchased for my 13-inch Viola (which is the same length as a 3/4 violin). ) My son has a habit of resting his chin/jar bone on the tail piece, which makes a regular chinrest a little too far away from where he needs to rest his chin/jar bone. With other chinrests, his neck was never straight, but this one fits him perfectly. It's a little heavy, but he's had heavier ones in the past. The wood is absolutely stunning. The screws for the posts are smooth and straight, and the posts fit securely.
I found a comfortable position to hold it in, but a few weeks later my teacher noticed my posture and advised me to correct it; when I did, I was almost on top of the tailpiece, which was quite unappealing. I continued to play like this for a while until my teacher suggested I look into getting a center chinrest. To cut a long story short, I went onto Amazon and looked up a few chinrests before deciding on this one and placing an order. br>br>I LOVE THIS CHINREST, IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL, IS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, AND IT FEELS AMAZING! br>br>After trying out the chinrest, my teacher has decided to order one as well; it feels and looks great! br>br>Anyone who is unhappy with their current chinrest should try it.
I bought this centered chinrest because playing violin was uncomfortable with my chin resting entirely on the tailpiece. Rather than changing my posture, I decided to give this one a shot, and I'm very pleased with the results. It allows me to play more comfortably because my chin fits perfectly into it and does not slip. Furthermore, it is simply lovely and looks great on my violin.
This product was purchased to replace my old, traditional chin rest, and it performs admirably.
This simple addition to my violin made it easier for me to move my elbows. It was money well spent.
