Questions & Answers

It turned out I did not read the instruction and applied too much. It seems that the pegs are now Why are they happening? What can I do about it?

You can use a small wooden dowel that can be inserted into the hole on the opposing side of the hole. The peg needs to be pushed out using a hammer and lightly tapping on the dowel.

This would work for any stringed instrument, like a cello, would it not?

I have only used this on violins and violas, so I don't know how well it would work on a cello. Wood can be made to slide on it more easily using a friction-enhancing formulation Fittings made from wood, and he does a good job at it. Others will have to comment on whether or not it will work for autoharps, zithers, and hammer dulcimers A metal pin is used on dulcimers to rub the strings. I'd like to point out that Pegs seem to distribute it quite well when spread with tips.

The strings are kept in place
5/5

While playing the guitar, sometimes my G would loosen. For this reason, I purchased the product. Though it made for an interesting warbly effect, it was extremely frustrating. Despite putting two drops of this per instructions, I was not able to move the peg at all. With the other pegs, I only used one drop and it was enough. My failure to quit the orchestra might not have occurred if this had been the case while in high school We are relieved of so much frustration because of it.

I love it! Violins of this age are rarely in excellent condition
5/5

My violin is almost 100 years old and not in the best It is rather difficult to tune the pegs because the peg box is visibly warped. However, these peg drops seem to help a lot, by providing just enough friction to turn smoothly and stick when necessary. Be careful not to overdo it a little bit goes a long way.

You won't experience any slipping or binding of the A little bottle like this would probably be able to fix about 1000 violins
5/5

The slipping pegs are no longer an issue by binding the pegs in the holes like competing products did.

We have a solution
5/5

When I didn't play my cello for a few days, the instrument would occasionally go completely out of tune. It stays in tune now. There is still room for improvement, but for now the pegs stay in place and are easy to turn if I need to. Most often, though, it's just a matter of fine tuning.

I am amazed
5/5

"I was skeptical about this product, I thought. "It looks like a little bottle of oil, and how can it possibly help me keep my pegs from slipping?" Approximately a week ago I bought a cheap violin outfit for the purpose of teaching myself how to play it. So I chose this incredibly cheap bottle of vodka, since I didn't want to spend a whole lot on something I could give up after a week.

It doesn't take much to make a big difference! My violin D string was slipping and I was unable to put it back on
5/5

I love this product. Only a few small drops on the peg and it stays tuned no problem. If you want to use this stuff, just make sure you don't go crazy, a little drop on the contact points is all that's required. With this bottle, you can expect to have it for years, and years at that.

It works much better than I had The only thing you need per peg is one drop
5/5

My violin is a cheap Cecilio, and these pegs slip off when My violin has remained in tune during these months since I bought it. It's been bumping a lot lately and the pegs will slide, but this product is quite good.

You won't have to worry about your tuning pegs You will make sure your instrument isn't out of tune because of this technique, but beware You don't want to overdo it, because if you use too much you may glue the pegs to the headstock
