Questions & Answers
This puller may not fit together with the pins on a bass, which are too large to fit into the slots and holes on this puller. There is no doubt that the guitar is designed for acoustic instruments. If you want to ask that question, you can click on the ad link in "Questions Asked."
The bridge spacing on my acoustic is 2 1/4 inches, and this bridge works well for it. I would recommend giving it a try and returning it if it doesn't work or contacting the maker
Selected User Reviews For MusicNomad GRIP Puller - Premium Bridge Pin Puller (MN219)
Ovation Acoustics does not use bridge pins, which is one of the reasons why I play them. In the process of acquiring my new Fender Acoustasonic Telecaster, I found that it does utilize bridge pins, which is my least favorite fastening system for bridge strings again. looking for a set of spare bridge pins (because the pins are so often flung across the room during string changes that I can't remember how many times they have gone flying), I noticed this pin puller, and bought it right away. The first time I used it was the first time today I changed strings, and I can tell you that it definitely simplifies string changes. This device did not damage the finish of the guitar, and it is simple and easy to use. Then I would be all set if they made a "pin setter".
Since I had spent yesterday restringing two guitars, I made the decision to review this tool as soon as possible. The tool makes it so easy that I was actually elated each time a pin was removed. In my opinion, it is a very clever invention that is far superior to anything I have ever used before. It is very kind of them and the developers to thank you.
The product is one of those that you may not think is really necessary. You will not own it until you do. There is a D'Addario tool that allows me to snip and pull strings, but it only works with pins that stand tall. When I work with low profile pins, I have to use wire cutters to get underneath My little puller works on all of my acoustic guitars, even my Yamada, which has these low sitting, round ball head tops that are difficult to reach. It doesn't have a problem pulling even those pins with the MusicNomad. If I had bought one sooner, I would have saved a lot of money. I have found it much easier to change strings because of it.
You didn't have to wait long for this! It is one of the best products I have ever used. The Peg Puller is so much better than other similar products, and it protects your guitar at the same time! When I received mine, I immediately ordered ones for each of my guitar students, as well as extras for future students who might have pins in their guitars. Their astonishment at how well it works and how quickly they can do it!.
On my Ibanez acoustic, this worked for only 2 out of 6 pins that I was trying to pull. I found that the pin kept slipping around the head of the pin and did not hold on to it like it was suppose to. My End Nipper pliers were needed because I had to wiggle a bit to get the job done, so unfortunately this tool is not needed. In the past, I have had great success with other products from this company. So, when I saw this tool and was told it was made by a known company, I couldn't resist. Unfortunately, it did not work for me and I returned it.
There is no other tool quite as effective as this for removing bridge pins. Making this website was a long and involved process. Attempts to remove pins that have become stuck will not be successful. The tool is designed so that it has a threshold for how much pulling it can sustain before it slips It has saved me a lot of time and prevented many pins from being damaged. Now bone and plastic pins won't get a wrench mark on them! Obviously, you're not going to be disappointed.
In my case, I am a relatively new guitarist, and I don't like to change strings all that often. I hated pulling out the bridge pins, so part of the reason was that I hated doing so. There were several of those multitasking units I was using Although I used pliers a lot, sometimes the bridge pins got stuck and I had to wind strings with a string winder, snippers, or bridge pin pullers. It is possible to mark up the rosewood bridge or damage the pins when you mark them. This is no longer an issue for me. All I have to do is slide it over the bridge pin, rock it back and forth using the rubber pivot, and the pins pop out easily and are held in the device. No stress or wear, nothing gets scratched, and it's quick and strangely enough, immensely satisfying. There is one less thing to dread when it comes to changing I will use this device on all my acoustics for the rest of my life, and for the price it is well worth the purchase. I would recommend it to people with acoustic guitars that use.
You can save a lot of time with this device. The bridge pins on my guitar often got scratched when I had to use pliers to remove them before. Since I didn't know what stretch meant, I left zero stars in that section. It's now much easier for me to change my strings. few pins on some bridges that are too small for this tool to grab, so one star has been taken off, but it should be able to pick up 95 percent of acoustic guitars.
