Product Description

It is often said that Cocobolo is the only wood that can be used to make acoustic guitar bridge pins. This bridge will have its own wood grain, while the bridge pins will each be a different color.
This is a universal size, about the size of a credit card slot. The size of the design is 0mm. There is no particular brand of guitar that is incompatible with Donner guitar pins. If you want to avoid special circumstances, make sure you check the dimensions before buying. The size can be adjusted with sandpaper if the opening is too large.
Sustain enhancement-In addition to serving as a fixed string, it can also be effectively used to improve the sustain of the original guitar and to reduce the graininess of the
Installation is easy - Donner bridge pins have a guide string slot and come with a new pin puller to replace the string if it wears out.

Bridge pins made from metal are undoubtedly a significant improvement over plastic ones
5/5

As I built the bridge using my old plastic pins I mic'd the tape, and I thought the Donner pins looked pretty As an experiment, I tried sanding one down to see if I could get it to fit properly. My Takamine bridge pin holes were too far apart, so I marked a depth gauge on the tapered bore bit that matched the plastic pin hole. Thanks to my rotary dremel tool and conical grinder bit, I was able to bridge the two holes. There you go! I used the Dremel to quickly tap the donners in place, and they fit absolutely perfectly. Its seat rested just a fraction of an inch away from each bridge pin, leaving a perfect fit. Although I do not suggest this for everyone, I have a luthier close by that has repaired many of my guitars over the years that I've known for over 20 years. In so doing, I could always get a new ebony bridge if I really screwed up. All was well in the end. There are a lot of Takamine guitars out there with non-Takamine pick-ups The pin holes on the bridge are standard. It is no longer necessary to cut the holes to a standard size since Donner now provides this. To all who buy Donner pins please read this. You can always add the second bridge pin tool to the second guitar accessory case if you have a second guitar. Purchasing two sets of these is not that expensive. In that case, you will have some pins to practice on if you went the sanding route. While I tried to lock them in my portable drill chock on the bridge pin head side, it was very difficult to get it centered enough to rotate at a low speed so that I could sand enough off the bone pins to make them As a result, please take notice of the following Amazon note It is true that I included the title of my guitar manufacturer in the review, do not remove the review simply because I said so. There are a few guitarists that are thinking of buying Donner bridge pins from you. I've gotten some of my reviews denied before, which seems rather petty to some of us who are taking the time to review the products that you sell. Just a thought.

Pins fit very well, but 2 of them were missing the pearl overlays
4/5

It is true that some of the bridge pins I received appear to have lost their abalone overlays, as I mentioned in my previous review. The entire set of pins was replaced without question at Donner, but they asked for a picture before they began. During our visit, there were no charges, and the representative was friendly and As for the bridge pins I recommend Donner for excellent customer service as well as the fact that both my 1995 Martin D1 and my newer GPCA4 fit perfectly. I also noticed a slight improvement in the sound of my guitars when using these bone pins over the previous plastic ones. Pearlescent shell inlays make these pins quite attractive, which was my primary reason for purchasing One thing to point out is that sometimes the inlays vary widely in color and luminescence, so some are.

Upgrading is an expensive proposition
5/5

If you have an acoustic guitar, these cocobolo pins are perfect for it. My Taylor 315CE-S has metal pins now instead of plastic ones that I had been using for years I was surprised to see how effective it was! In addition to sounding warmer, the sustain on the guitar has also been improved. As well as looking great, they are also functional. The pins can also be removed with a little tool included.

The people showed up right away and did exactly what they had been asked to do
5/5

The pin I was using to fasten the bridge of a 12-tone guitar had fallen out while I was adjusting a small part There was a string on sale that was just too cheap to believe. Since I didn't feel like buying 6 more bridge pins just to get 1 that would match the other 11, and many reviews said that natural wood bridge pins would improve tone, I chose not to buy any more. It wouldn't be accurate to say I noticed a difference, since I was much more concerned about correcting intonation errors. I like the mother of pearl dot designs on these pins that I imagine would go well with the inlay on the headstock. In such a case, it would be great to see them both at the same time, but since no one has offered me a cocobolo desk, I guess the start would be to buy A piece of sandpaper accompanies these pins to correct irregularities in the wood, but I didn't need it since every pin fit properly. The two sets of pin wrenches that came with the guitar came in two different guitar cases, so I'll keep them there. would probably be better than a spoon or pliers, but they work just as well.

It must be made to fit the individual instrument
5/5

My expectations are that this will take a couple of hours and will happen shortly since I use coated strings, and they are getting close to losing their brightness, so I cannot comment on its brightness. However, I expect excellent results from other bone pegs that I have experienced.

Good pins -- a nice improvement
5/5

The pins are of good quality. The inlay dots were all present on mine, so I needed to reduce the thickness using a cordless drill to taper the pin's head, just as you would do with a dowel using Good to see three pieces of sandpaper included with the kit. Although it's a bit fiddly to get the wheels to spin straight, if you move even a little bit off during the spin, they still work. You can speed up the sanding process by pinching the sandpaper between your thumb and index finger so you are sanding both sides at once. A flat file on top and another on the bottom were also used to test the hypothesis. you must not use a coarse wood file or you will take off chippings of bone. If you must use a coarse wood file, go for a fine or I was pried from my pocket by It's really nice to have an up tool in the guitar case in case you want to change strings in the future. There is a good value in these pins. It results in a nice tone.

I think it's way too big
3/5

Five millimeters are what they are advertised as being. Five of them have been identified so far. In the range of 2 to 5, write 1. There are five millimeters, mostly around five millimeters. They all came up short by about 5mm, so none of them fit. There is sandpaper included with the kit, along with instructions for sanding the boards It took me just over an hour to sand off a half-millimeter by hand. I got a big blister on my finger as a result. With the others, I will use a drill to turn them while wearing a piece of a surgical mask to protect the head. Although I take them out and try them 20 times, it doesn't cause me blisters to sand them down, because I am careful and take them out to remount about 20 times. In addition, they didn't have a consistent taper, which is to be expected when taking that much material out by hand, so that the strings don't hold quite tightly and they don't sound good. Nevertheless, the pin puller lives up to its name.
