The grinder has a set of settings ranging from fine to very coarse, based on my experience. There is nothing better than these. I could not survive without them in my kitchen.

I would've bought this one a long time ago if I had known it was this easy to grind pepper. Take my word for it, you don't need to second guess it! Another grinder is difficult to operate and requires too much effort to yield little result. With the ratchet mechanism, this is extremely easy for people with arthritis to use.
It was my first introduction to this at a Sur La Table cooking class and I really liked it. Amazon has it now, so I was delighted to find it there since we're going through a pandemic now. My arthritis does not hinder my ability to use this because the ratchet mechanism makes it easy. Additionally, it is easy to adjust the grind. must admit, it can be tricky to fill it with peppercorns but it is well worth the effort.
