There was no 2 cup container. One of the ten sets received is no longer usable as a result of this. br>br>Here's the thing that irritates me the most: Rubbermaid has yet to respond. br>br>If you're reading this, Rubbermaid: Please get in touch with me and let me know what you're going to do about it. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> br>I spoke with Rubbermaid directly last week. They worked quickly and courteously. In the coming week, I should receive my new top. I'll update you on my findings. br>WHILE THIS IS GOING ON, Amazon should probably review its follow-up and quality control procedures. Messages sent through Amazon were not received.
Update: I'm on my second set, and I'm still a fan. It's difficult to stop yourself from buying them. There have been no complaints so far. Original: br>br>Original: br>br>Original: br>br>Orig br>I'd been looking for pantry storage containers for a long time and had my heart set on the Oxo set. I decided to go see the oxo containers in person after reading the reviews for both the oxo set and this one. br>br>According to one reviewer, if flour gets on the rubber stopper, the oxo set will not work. I can see how this could happen after looking at the containers. I have a set of regular Rubbermaid food storage containers, which are by far the best storage containers I've ever owned. So I decided not to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place. These containers, y'all, are the BOMB. I can't believe I was considering spending twice as much on the Oxo ones. These things are extremely well-sealed and extremely durable. They are extremely easy to clean. They're almost perfect, and I think they're more visually appealing than the oxo ones with the button on top. br>br>As you can see in my photos, they stack nicely and help to keep my pantry looking tidy. I recently moved into an apartment from a house, so I wanted to make sure all of my food items were tightly sealed in case of bugs, and these have exceeded my expectations. br>br>I will DEFINITELY purchase another set to give as gifts. They are truly lovely. br>br>I strongly advise you to try them. Instead of going to the Oxo, save your money and get these.
Better than oxo and far less likely to break. You will not be dissatisfied with your decision.
A lid latch was missing from one of my containers. When I contacted Rubbermaid, they told me that I needed to send them a proof of purchase and a picture in order for them to replace my product, which I did, but they then stopped responding and have yet to send me a replacement. Very let down. The containers themselves are fantastic! br>br> However, for the price, I'd prefer to get a complete working set.
I used these to completely redo my kitchen, and I'm in love! I can easily see how much of something I have and am confident that it will stay fresh because these are airtight!.
Because of the locking mechanism, this will never be an issue with these containers. They're incredible! They are guaranteed not to leak and come with a lifetime warranty. I can't say enough about how great these are! I've already placed an order for a second set. They're also MADE IN THE USA, which isn't mentioned often enough.
These are fantastic storage containers. I used to use OXO bags, but they made my cereal go stale and my brown sugar harden faster than Ziploc bags. As a result, I only used OXO containers to store flour, rice, and white sugar. I've been using these Brilliant containers for a few years, and they're sturdy and keep their airtight seal. tenseness Best air- Among the containers I've tried are those that are tight. I keep garlic, chopped onions, grapes, strawberries, cookies, cake slices, donuts, and everything else in the freezer and refrigerator. They keep all of my groceries and baked goods fresh for a long time, and this set is a great value at almost $20 for one large container. This set was purchased to store chips, crackers, and brown sugar, which OXO had previously failed to adequately store. br>One disadvantage is that they are not as easy to open as the OXO ones (I assume this means no air can get in). It is, however, not as difficult once you have become accustomed to it.
I'm sure you're thinking right now. These may appear to be a little pricey, but they are a fantastic product that is much less expensive than buying Tupperware. I like that I can see right through them to see how fresh the food is. I don't have to label them because I can see what's inside. I like how they're designed with little holes that close when you snap them shut, keeping the air out and keeping things fresher for longer. I was able to organize my entire pantry, including my staple foods and even chips. We have one small one that we use for Brown sugar, and we did the Brown sugar test; no matter what container I buy, the Brown sugar always seems to dry out and become hard. This one, on the other hand, has been going strong for quite some time now. I like it because I enjoy baking, and the Brown sugar is always fresh when I open the container. We conducted another experiment because we occasionally use a large number of marshmallows, but never the entire bag. So I poured a whole bag of Mini marshmallows into one of the larger containers, and they're still as fresh as the day I opened them, much to my surprise. I would highly recommend this product; in fact, I went to my local Costco and found more on sale, and I ended up purchasing another bulk set on Amazon.
