In regards to the item, here are the manufacturer's specifications Using the Ground Resistance Tester Model 6416, you can measure the resistance and impedance of ground cables and grids without any Lock into place Testers of on-ground resistance can also be used in more than one application System that is grounded without being disconnected or de-grounding It simply clamps around the ground electrode or conductor to measure the resistance to ground after energizing the ground system under test. The user performs measurements on intact ground systems in order to verify that the grounding connections and bonds are in good condition. It is possible to measure the continuity and resistance of ground loops around pads, pillars, and other buildings.

There is no difference in reading between the two It is the Bluetooth and Memory that distinguish these two models. Through the interface on the instrument, the 6416 stores 300 readings and can be retrieved from there. DataView software package is included with the instrument this software can be used with several instruments, such as PELs, megohmmeters, and data loggers, as well. The instrument stores 2000 measurements, which are accessed via Bluetooth connection. Furthermore, the Bluetooth link allows the 6417 to communicate with an Android app, which allows readings from the instrument to be viewed and saved to the android device instead of the instrument itself. Using the android app, you can also record GPS information from the device. As well, the 6417 allows some additional configuration settings than the 6416, I do not know all of them exactly but I can get them for you from your customer if they are important. Furthermore, the 6418 uses the oval jaw of the 6416, and it is limited in its ability to measure current.
