Out of the box, it's the right size

Starrett stem mics have been a part of my machining career for the past 35 years, but I decided to replace my 3" -4" set. Due to the fact that there is a 1" setting to the 12" set, I chose this set. The number five.

This is a very good set of ID microphones. When it comes to Mitutoyo, you can't go wrong.

Opening up the case, I was a little dissatisfied with it, it seems cheap and not very sturdy, but it opened easily as it was pretty thin and fragile
