This is actually a gift I bought for someone at work who had liked the tubular microphone I had purchased for myself on Amazon about a month earlier. They may be cheap, but the quality for what you are paying is still very good.

have worked as a machine operator for over 10 years. I have found that these mics have been just as accurate as my Starrett ID phones. You may experience some difficulties depending on what feature you are measuring because of the tube size.
