Questions & Answers

What are the washing instructions for the sheets?

Like you, I wondered the same thing. To my knowledge, there is no "care tag" on this product. I just called Medline to confirm. In the opinion of the product manager, the sheet is single use. Let me just say, if I happened to (ahem. b) run it through the gentle cycle on my washer. Medline will not be held responsible for what happens to it.

Are you repositioning the product only when it is needed or does it remain on the bed all night long?

This is always next to my husband's bed. It makes it easier to turn him from side to side or to move him back to the head end whenever I need to.

What is the lifting capacity of this device? Do you mean you actually pick them up instead of just ?

As far as two or more people using the handles and lifting on the bed, so they do not have a chance to fall, then I would say yes, more specifically on using it with a Hoyer lift, where you should use a Hoyer sling. Although I only used it once with my Mom, she passed away recently, I bought it to help turn her in bed and move her around.

Would this work to raise an adult male amputee on the bed if one care giver pulled him up?

Absolutely &amp there is no doubt about it It will be more convenient for them if they have a trapeze bar or bedrails.

Although it is pricey, these glide sheets are very effective
5/5

I received them during my last hospital stay, and they have become a staple in my medicine cabinet. As a result, my aides prefer it since it slides In this case, the glide does not shield your bed if it gets soiled, it needs to be discarded (although it can be wiped down if it is a little dirty). In addition to spending over $30 more than traditional glides, it is also heavier and bulkier. Whenever I purchase a new glide, I keep the other glides that I purchased (the cheaper ones) as backups in case this one gets soiled and needs to be replaced.

My back is saved by this heavy duty product
5/5

A simple and easy way to move a bedridden parent! It was at the hospital where my stepmom was that I first learned about these nifty items. I received it as a gift from the nurse. As it turned out, I needed an extra one so I ordered this from Amazon. The blanket is much tougher than the one at the hospital, and the flannel is also heavier. Before I use it, I wear it in the dryer so she is warm and I do not have to bend over. As most of my friends are around the same age as my parents and some of them are bedridden, like my stepmother, I told them about these. The best thing I've ever done!.

I have found it to be the best slide and position aid ever
5/5

While moving from side to side to lift my 175 lb wife to the top of the bed when she slides down in her hospital bed, I struggled to reposition her. It was only possible for me to move her a few inches at a time using the bed pad The slide however, allows me to reach up and grab the straps attached to the two corners of the bed so I can pull her to the top of the bed with less effort. I have learned to put a pillow against the headboard in case I pull too far and bump her head against it. As a result of the large size, she is also able to easily move from one side to another or slides on one side of the bed to center herself. When no one else is available to assist, it is a back saver and a major.

This has been a big help to me
5/5

It will make it much easier for you to reposition the sheet. This scarf is made from two sides a grey side that is soft against the skin and a blue side that reduces It's extremely useful to have handles since they prevent you from losing a grip while holding it, and they can also be used to smooth the sheet out beneath Although it's not very thick, it seems like it would hold up to repeated washings rather The task of repositioning and boosting my son in bed was difficult due to his weight of about 180 pounds. It's now as easy as pie!.

I love it and I think it's I found this to be incredibly helpful
5/5

As I have to care for my husband, who cannot assist in positioning himself in bed, I am responsible for doing so. As long as I use this item, I can easily make him slide from side to side and upward when he falls There are two side handles as well as a top handle on this bag. Additional ones are on the way.

Bedridden patients should not be without this indispensable item
4/5

If a patient is bedridden and needs to be turned, then this is an absolute necessity. It's overpriced by a great deal compared to what it offers I have never used it before, but it saved my life.

I'm going sliding down the slope! My caregivers find it a little easier to move me from one side of the bed to the other since I am 6'4" and 260 lbs

Put it in the right place. As I sleep, I use a mattress that does not have a lot of air loss.
