No, they won't scratch your hardwood floors, and they slide quite well. The first set (of two in the box) is still on my wife's walker. I hope this information is useful.
Yes, 4. These were quite hefty. steel, heavy duty
They were too big for my walker, so I'm guessing they're not standard. My walker is compatible with all of the glide caps I buy on Amazon.

I did make the mistake of purchasing the 1" instead of the 1 1/8" because I was purchasing these for a shower seat, so the ones I purchased are not the correct fit, but they did fit. If you're going to buy these, make sure you measure the tubeing you'll be using first. I'll use them for now, but I'll get the larger size next time. If the size is correct, they are simple to put on.
The light weight plastic tips that came with my Kelty Adjustable Tarp Poles were replaced with these. I don't think I'll need to replace them any time soon. The factory-installed plastic tips were flimsy and prone to slipping. These walker glide tips are 1" in diameter and do not slip. The poles will never cut through them because they have steel washers inside the tips. I wish they came in 7/8" because I'd use them on a couple of folding stools that I have. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of these rubber glide tips.
I hammered them in place with a soft hammer. I like that there's a hole in the bottom in case water gets inside the leg. br>br>I can't comment on durability because we borrowed the walker and returned it a few weeks after installing these glides. Based on my assessment of the quality of the plastic used, I gave them a grade slightly above middle.
They were extremely quiet, and I expected the replacements to be the same. However, this isn't the case. Long before you see me, you'll hear me approaching. I'll replace them with "original factory tips" once they've been worn down enough.
I put these on the feet of my dog's elevated bed to give it some extra support. The original plastic foot bases had worn out, and the metal was scratching the wood on my balcony, so I had to replace them. That is no longer an issue with these, and I don't believe it ever will be. These are extremely well-made and actually aid in stability, as my dog frequently runs into his bed (causing it to slide). But not any longer).
OK, so I have a funeral gurney that needs a lot of work but is still usable. It's missing some rubber feet, so I bought these in the hopes that they would fit and solve my problems with my gurney, but I haven't put them on yet. why ? So, since you've inquired, allow me to explain. It's because I ordered the wrong size duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhh lol I needed a 1" and wasn't sure if this item came in a 1" in purple.
These are excellent and perform admirably. When you add the glide caps to the mix, you've got the perfect walker combination. So far, mine have held up admirably.
My husband needed a dependable stopper for a homemade cane he was making. This was simple to put on, provided excellent stability, and appears to be extremely long-lasting. Quick shipping on a fantastic product!.
