Twenty years have passed since I last used my stethoscope. The first two of these are Master Cardiology and Cardiology 2, and now it's time for Cardiology A new stethoscope surprised me when my husband surprised me with a new ‘scope! I didn't think I would need a replacement over an ear bud, but he did! A bud fits the 4 but not the 2 or the Masters, since they are screw on instead of push on. The only way I can get in touch with Littman directly is by contacting him My only other stethoscope dates back to graduation from nursing school twenty years ago and I probably won't obtain another one. Until it was stolen by a resident, I owned the original Littman.
Having lost an ear tip on my Littmann stethoscope, I got these to replace it. It was easy to install, they worked well, and they were comfortable in the ear. I'm impressed with how well these stethoscopes are worth the price, especially given the price of the stethoscope itself! It's nice to have two sizes to choose from so you can choose what is more comfortable for.
A soft-tissue stethoscope manufactured by 3M Littmann A procedure to seal the ear canal This tip works as described. ago, after the original ear tips on my Littmann stethoscope started breaking, I bought generic ear tips from Amazon for a fraction of the price of a Littmann ear tip. Initially, the generic ear tips worked just fine, but my stethoscope became increasingly uncomfortable as time went by. I finally discovered what was the matter when I found out the generic ear tips had shrunk in size and in the process had become nearly as rigid as a rock. Fortunately, I was able to replace them with 3M OEM ear tips that are identical to what my stethoscope originally came with, so everything is back to normal again. In my opinion, the 3M Littmann replacement ear tips are overpriced, while purchasing generics is a poor choice. It's worth the value to get the OEM part. Your ear canals will thank you for it.
It has been in my possession since I started college and, now that I am in practice (RVT), I never leave home without it. There was a need to replace the ear tips and these were the cheapest in the right size I could find. The sound quality is excellent and I was able to install them in less than 30 seconds. The small set provided comfort and I was very pleased with it. I am only giving 4 stars because I would prefer if the company just offered small ear tips. My closet is full of extra sets of large ear tips that I won't ever need, but hold onto just in case.
It was hard to get one on and I messed up one little in the process, but it is sorely cosmetic at the moment. There's no need to tear any more of it. Although, it really helps block out background noise and add comfort. I might recommend setting a pen through the small hole and leaving it overnight to put the opening wider to make it easier to attach them to the stethoscope.
I'm able to use it with my Littmann Stethoscope just fine. a little worried since it is 20 years old, and was relieved to see it had a positive response. It's good to know that Littmann is standing behind their products.
Doing more research would have been a good idea. The ear pieces on my model are actually screwed on so there is just a plain hole in the rubber where you slip the stethoscope ends. Mine had too small a hole for my ear pieces.
Those ear buds were just right for work when I needed replacements. (My ear canals are a bit small) but I will not feel too restricted with them on. As for sound quality, it is excellent as well. Repurchase would be a good choice.
