As a float switch mount in my bilge, I used this frame. Rather than having to try to attach the switch through the small opening in the bilge, it was very straightforward. Finally, I wire-tied it in place, just to make sure that it would not move. Yes, I know I'm using an unusual application. I found this to be the best solution for my needs.
The aluminum will be used to make mating dovetails for me. I am a hobby machinist.
Aluminum barstock could be considered perfect for what it is, a chunk of raw aluminum. People should understand that this is a raw material, it's not polished, it's not certified to be used as a straight edge, and it's probably not liquid proof. It's too funny.
What it says is what it is it seems to be of good quality and the finish or edges are smooth. It should be smooth with none of the corners rounded.
