Acetal gears molded to steel shafts are light and durable, resulting in low friction performance.

To prevent electrical arcing and circuit shortages, there is electrical isolation between the shafts and the Acetal housing.

On the case, there are two counterbored clearance holes for traditional chassis mounting.

Is this gearbox sloppy or has any play? I have one of these in a follow focus that I bought years ago, and there's a 2-year warranty on it. 4mm slop. I wasn't sure if the situation had improved. ?

I've purchased two in the last few years and use them as a follow focus system. There was ZERO slop that I could detect. even after a long period of time of use

What are the approximate diameters of the shafts?

Using a microphone to look at it - I didn't take down the assy - Both shafts appear to be 1/8" (0.25 mm) in diameter. 125"). My assembly has 0 bores attached to it. The clearances were taken up by the set screw, which was 150".

What kind of gears do you have in your gearbox? (It would be great if you could include a photograph)?

45 degree bevel in plastic (Acetal) (not sure if they're helical). And, as I recently discovered, they are prone to breaking, so avoid using them for anything heavy.

What is the ratio of gears? Which way does the rotation go? Is it better to do both clockwise and counterclockwise?

With or without resistance force, it runs smoothly

I . With or without resistance force, it runs smoothly. I use it with a step motor that moves in small increments at a very slow speed.
