The Sears 140294 Craftsman 1121 Kevlar is manufactured by Craftsman. I've had my Craftsman LTX1000 for 18 years, and the last 18 years it has refused to go less than a small incline unless I went very slowly. Amazon delivered the belt within a day of my order - I was very pleased. The Deck must be removed to install the rack, but once the deck is out of the way, there is plenty of room to install It is recommended that the belt is moved away from the 2 small idler pulleys and then the small engine pulley followed by the drive pulley and finally the larger engine pulley-this is according to the Owner's Manual that came with the mower. My final act was to cut the old one off, and after messing with that I finally ended up cutting it There was an installation manual that wanted you to reverse the steps, but after awhile, I realized I couldn't install it by starting with the Drive Pulley and going through the small Engine Pulley and then going through the two I was satisfied with the fit of the Belt, and again, it appears to be a quality belt.
A good quality belt has solved my lawnmower issue, and I believe it to be very strong and durable. At least Kevlar is covered on the belt, which is blue. Probably just rubber underneath, but after replacing the clutch, I noticed I had no "slipping transmission" issues and no "weak motor power going up hills. " The old belt's eyes were probably too glassy to get a good grip on the belt. I've been running this on my mower for about 90 minutes and so far it's been working well. I just noticed that the belt is no longer blue. It appears to be intact, however, and is working well based upon my observations.
The stock drive belt on my 2006 Craftsman Dynate was worn out quite soon in 2020. It took a season for this to be completed. Summer cuttings on our farm, as well as snow plowing in the winter, had to be endured on the original one. One summer season on a nearly flat lot just cutting grass, no winter use, was all this belt had to deal with. In the original, the blade was towing a road grading blade every summer and it had to be replaced only due to being stretched too far, not because of It is so obvious now that stock replacement should be a bit longer.
Upon looking at the belt, it is stamped 105" according to the stamp. The correct measurement should have been 82". I checked the package and it lists the correct size. Obviously, it was changed and returned, but Amazon resold a new one to me without checking the size. My money was refunded, but they wasted my time, so I had to purchase a new belt at a nearby store.
There is no way to go wrong with a belt at this price. Future plans call for D.
As there are many non-OEM belts being sold, it is difficult to pick something that is reliable and works well, as well as a price you can afford. I have been running my new belt for about a month now, and it seems to be working quite well so far. Ten years after I got my craftsman tractor, the original belt still worked. A belt aftermarket was then expected to last five.
A decent product at a decent price. My closest store wanted 3 times the price for a non-fabric belt. It seemed like kevlar belts would be useful so I ordered.
