Questions & Answers

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Does the round belting material last for a very long time? How tall is it? Taking a 12" length and a 12" width, what is 2" in height, 12" in length and 12" in ?

10' is the length of mine. There are other dimensions that I don't know about.

The program works amazingly well and is easy to use
5/5

It is very interesting to read this It is easy to use to make an endless drivebelt, and it does not stretch or break In the past month I have used it to replace the drivebelt on an old Dremel This was manufactured by (the manufacturer. Those belts are no longer made by that company. 1) You cut your belt to the length you need, making clean ends first. Then, you heat both ends of the belt quickly and stick them together. End of sentence. Due to the material's lack of stretch, the belt should be slightly shorter than the total length in order to create tension while wearing it. (I cut a 14inch length of belting about 1/2" short of its full length to fit around the two pulleys, and that gave them a good grip. 1) I clamped a large steel washer in a c-clamp Bring one end of the belting to the sides of the hot washer, and then pull it away from the washer and bring it back together again. Keep the ends together for a minute or two under pressure, then let the joint cool for another 20 minutes. I have run it on the sander for 15 minutes so far, and it is holding up. Whenever it snaps, I can take a new one and attach it. I really like this product. I find it to be.

Learning the best way to connect the two ends was the most challenging part It is relatively easy to do, however
5/5

In order to create a belt for an old piece of machinery, I had to work with polyurethane belts for the very first time. Learning how to join the two ends together was the most challenging part, not the actual doing. I looked it up on YouTube and found a couple I learned how to do it so easily once I learned how. Soldering irons are used by some people, whereas other tools are used by others. With a pair of vice grip pliers and an old box knife blade, I made the cutting. My gas stove turned the belt hot, then I put it down with the blade facing up, then I ran each belt end through the blade, holding them both in one hand. As the polyurethane hardens, you will need to hold it for a moment or two. If you straighten your joint during that period, it's still pliable enough to do so. During the cutting process, if you make a mistake, your blade should be heated again and you can try cutting through your bad join. It needs to be adjusted.

There is actually a benefit to this product! Glass and stone are cut on a diamond blade band saw that I have
5/5

An original belt was nowhere to be found, and a replacement was even more difficult. The joint is just as strong as the rest of the material once it has been cut to length and assembled as instructed. Initially I wasn't sure this would stand up to the task, but after following the instructions, the joint performed like the rest of the The product team that came up with this and brought it to market has created a great tool for bringing the old belt driven power tools back to life. Thanks to them!.

I really like the quality of this belt and how well made it is
5/5

A small amount of stretch allows it to stay tight without being overtightened. A strong continuous loop is formed when the ends of the loop are joined together. When it comes to belting, this company is my first choice.

This is a great tool for sewing machines from the past
5/5

What a wonderful stuff this is. It has been used to replace both belts on an old Bernina 125 sewing machine, and it works well. In order to bond the ends together, I used a soldering iron with a knife-tip exactly the same size as the tip on my soldering iron. It didn't matter to me that my first attempt was not quite right because I had 10 feet to work with.
