There are a lot of sellers on Amazon selling these wire clamps in various versions. You shouldn't try to figure out which one to pick until you're quite certain. The product has so far proved to be very satisfactory and I took a risk on So far these wire clamps have been very useful for hanging commercial grade string lights in the backyard using vinyl coated 1/8 wire. This is a smaller nut, a smaller threaded clamp, and a smaller clamp. There are no other cable clamps available except for these 1/16" plastic clamps. That description doesn't seem to fit the product. It is a complete waste of time and energy.
The steel cable I clamped is vinyl coated and 1/8" in diameter. Assuming that the cable is held together well enough for the nuts to fit on these clamps, the tricky part is getting the nuts started. The way they don't stand out too much is what I like the most. I like these clamps because other clamps would in fact block my path to my goal, so they are perfect.
It seems that these clamps are well constructed, but they are too small to accommodate cable that is 1/8" thick.
