I'd been looking for a long time for an object that, when dropped, moves down toward the ground and then stays put on the floor, desk, or other flat surface without floating away. This weight is exactly what I'm looking for. Not only does it begin to fall as soon as you release it, but if you place it on top of something else, it will continue to push down on that object for months at a time, and there are no batteries to replace! br>br>It's now my go-to tool for everything. Papers are being held down. Holding the mail in place. Mouse wires are being held in place. It's capable of doing everything.
I purchased weights in the sizes of 100 g and 200 g. The weights are measured as 100 on the Mettler research scale. 200 g, 02 g 06 g. Because the errors were less than a tenth of a percent, they were not considered significant 1% of the time, these weights are accurate enough for use at home.
Because this is technically not good enough to resolve below the specs of my scale, I've given it four stars. BUT, I'm using this scale to divide food, and I need a calibration because I forgot to use the protective spacer, and the transducer was subjected to several pounds of weight for about a month. By a factor of ten, my scale jumps up and down. I don't always need the most precise weight for calibration, so it's not like I need it all the time. The 1000 g calibration weight is extremely close to perfection, making it ideal for weighing food, determining the exact amount of water in a measuring cup, and so on. It's also stainless, so it won't flake away mass with age or shed chrome into food.
Wow, that's awful! At the very least, it should be well-packaged in a box or with tons of foam. br>br>Mine can has numerous scratches and dents that are more than a millimeter deep. How can I be sure that these dings and scratches won't affect the measuring accuracy?.
This was obtained to test a scale that came with its own 50g calibration weight, which, of course, reads as 50. 00, because that's how the factory calibrated it. This 50g, which I purchased separately, has the number 50 written on it. Both weights are only. 04br>br> 04 gram difference is encouraging; I'd like to believe this one is accurate, and the scale's freebie is. 04 light, but even that is impressive for a weight that comes with a $15 Chinese scale, and it would be unrealistic to expect more precision for the price, since no one is weighing Nobel Prize winning work with a. A chromed chinese coin worth 12 cents.
It is possible to use two weights in close proximity. They don't have enough overlap to prevent dual use. br>br>These are ideal for gamers who want to hold a key down for long periods of time to practice a weapon skill or auto cast after a cooldown. Stainless steel, great look, a little pricey for what they are, but you won't need to buy another pair.
The weight is excellent - It has a small dent from Amazon's poor shipping, but I don't think it's worth returning. I don't think the small dent has any bearing on the total weight.
The calibration weight is first-rate and precise. This item was purchased to hold patterns in place while marking leather. Although a little pricey for my intended use, the solid stainless steel turnings are very nicely finished and fit all but my largest patterns perfectly.
