If you're going to use this tape, you'll want to make sure it's the right one QT- If you're using a tape with a 5 to 9 range, the reading should show the ph reading for your urine test result; bluish purple indicates a higher alkaline reading on a 5 to 9 or 8 tape, depending on the tape.
The water does not have enough sanitizer.
They're meant to be used with your rinse water.
Following the expiration date on test strips is industry standard practice. However, in my experience, they seem to work well after the expiration date has passed. I wouldn't be concerned about the expiration date if you use these test strips on a daily basis, as you should, and don't keep large stockpiles. It's also very user-friendly. Since COVD, I've been using the Quat tab. 19 spray bottles (1 tab per gallon of water). Cotton cloth is bad because it binds to the ions, making Quat tab ineffective, so I decided to try it out. Six test strips can be seen in the image. Solid green was made from a freshly made Quat tab batch in one gallon of water, starting at the far right. After dropping the cotton towel to the left, a lighter shade of green was tested. About 1 minute after the towel was placed in the bucket, the almost yellow-looking strip on the left was tested. According to health codes, 200 PPM is acceptable, so the yellow strip passes. However, I prefer my batch to be stronger at 400 PPM, so I'd like to see more green color. br>br>On the left side of the picture, there are three test strips that are all solid green. They were tested in the same way, with the exception that instead of cotton, micro fiber cloth was used. Micro fiber does not react with Quat tab, as evidenced by this experiment. Microfiber cloth, rather than cotton, was recommended in the research I read.
This was purchased to test hypochlorite acid solution, but once the paper touched the solution, it became decolonized pale yello, which was not a reading.
Oops. For hypochlorous water testing for sanitation, I bought this instead of chlorine testing strips. I'll see if I can make something useful out of this.
I didn't like the container, so I'd like something I can hang on the wall or put on a base so I can put it on a flat surface and look at it.

If people remember to use them, this is a great idea. It's great to do training and then have the health department show up and ask how things are done, and no one knows what they're talking about. A manager was demoted due to his inability to properly demonstrate it.
It's very simple to use, and I like that the strips are tearable so I can make sure I don't waste any of them. You can test the sanitizing solution by cutting off a small piece of it rather than wasting several inches of the roll. These strips are accurate because they read the same as the previous ones I've used. This is an excellent product.
I had hoped for a larger selection, but the quality is satisfactory.
