How are the theses made? They are made from polypropylene or HDPE. ?

There is no definition of "hdpe" I know of. A description underneath the product states that "these durable little plastic funnels are made from plastic.".

Is there a limit to how hot they can ?

Although I have not sanitized them, I feel comfortable using them. The fluid must be room temperature in order to be used. It is difficult to fill a small perfume bottle with the spout neck and spout due to the large neck and spout.

What about the top side, where the opening is 1 3/4", and the bottom, (into the container), where the opening is 1/4? Take a look at your pictures showing it in ?

You may use it this way if that's how you intend to use it. You're gonna set the thing down on its big side if you're setting it down on a table. To clear up some misunderstandings regarding sizing the 1/4" opening is actually 1/4" outside diameter instead of If you put it through a receptacle with a slightly larger opening than 1/4" it should fit, but I cannot imagine what you will put in there. On my review, I included pictures for reference.

I don't think it's 1/4 of an inch

The outer diameter of the tube is 1/4 inch. There is WAY less room than 1/4 inch for the opening. Thus, the OPENING is much smaller than it used to be. By searching online, you'll find the word "opening" has several synonyms, such as "hole" or "aperture", which is misleading for a product description. It's exactly the 1/4 inch that I was looking for. I won't bother getting.

The 12 I received were in four different degrees of condition 5 were in perfect condition, 3 were damaged but still usable, and 4 were so damaged that I could not use any of.

The holes are way too small to allow anything through them

Even liquid cannot pass through the holes as they are so small. As a matter of fact, they are not worth recommending for anyone as essentially they are.

We are disappointed! When I purchased these to use for sand art, the stems of the funnel were too small for the sand to pass through! In the end, I used spoons to fill the bottles with sand

A wide bottle opening will not fit liquid into a smaller bottle opening (e. g. Due to the benefits of executing the return rather than the cost of the energy involved A funnel such as this is very cheap. Not recommended for transferring liquids into tiny openings, such as the opening of a perfume bottle.
