I think that high gloss is a good thing. I wouldn't consider it slippery. High traffic areas may require a greater amount of the product at times. If you do not wish to sand and refinish the hardwood floor, this product is a good alternative.

When installed in high traffic areas, the coating is expected to last for about one year.
