Heat and Pressure of the liquid in the hydraulic circuit are the conditions that dictate if an "O" Ring is needed. Similarly, for the application, they also have something called durometer that describes the hardness of the material. O Rings can be used for applications requiring higher temperatures or for high pressures. Depending on your needs, you must decide what to do.

My Rode SVM microphone was misaligned with the shock mount bands, so I had to replace them. Neither of the stores had the bands in stock, but I needed the microphone up and running fast. This was the first purchase I made from Amazon and they arrived the next In the beginning I stretched the bands a bit too far, so one broke, but then I got the hang of it and installed all eight bands. Despite the tight grip on the mic, there is no noise coming from it. They work great with Rode SVM microphones and I recommend them highly for those who have them. Despite the large amount of bands in this bag, you will get years of use out of it.
My old Rode Videomic was replaced by this one. It is impossible to purchase the official rings, so this is an alternative.
I hope your teeth are doing well.
The part is a ring. Everything described in the description is accurate. I thought these were thicker than they actually were because the pictures portrayed them as being thicker.
The product is of good quality A ring. This appears to be an accurate measurement.
It is what it claims to be.
This is what I use to keep the thread protector on the end of my Sig P226, which I keep in a baggie. Since the thread protector is now attached, I am no longer concerned about it coming loose and causing the o-ring to come loose During heat, the ring does not get damaged. There are 99 remaining jobs - not sure what to do with them It's the rings that matter.
