Are you referring to the bar that raises the jack?

If you want to do heavy lifting, you need steel dowels. I've used oak dowels, but they're good for lighter items, but steel is better for things that weigh a lot.

Everything must be jack

We expected this jack to be exactly what we got. I found it to be the most affordable and to work well. We received the delivery a week early as well. I hope it will be of good use to us. Any object with a clearance of at least 2" can be used with the jack.
