How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

At 60 psi, the flow is estimated to be 37 gpm
In order to resist corrosion, PVC is used
An installation mount with a longer thread on the inlet side of the valve for mounting through the wall of the tank
This is intended for use with stainless steel rods measuring 12" x 1/4" and float balls measuring 6" (sold separately).
NPT male thread inlet and outlet of 3/4"

Questions & Answers

Can this item withstand temperatures above its maximum operating temperature?

Dear Phillip, the technical person I spoke with told me that this product should not be left outside when it is below freezing or at freezing temperatures. Having a temperature rating of 100 degrees, it is suitable for heat. I appreciate it.

With 5 (psi) of pressure, will it work?

Regarding your inquiry, thank you very much. Those who are looking for 40psi to 60psi should consider this model. According to the specs, the lowest I could find was You may be unable to use them due to their size. I appreciate it.

The purpose of the tank is to house a small fish tank. I will use a garden hose to drain my 2000 gallon tank and fill the 158 gallon tank with water. Does this mean a free-flow system will be in place?

The system is used to purge methane derived from my water system into a 120-gallon tank under pressure through sprayers. It is likely you are using it to drain your 158 gal storage You should be able to use it - It would be better if I ordered the stainless steel rod 12" Once upon a time I had one made of brass- Over time, the steel bent, and regular steel rusts. I would use the biggest float valve I could find if I had the chance. Considering you will only be using a small amount of water, there will only be a small amount of pressure.

What is the mechanism for dampening the bouncing of the system?

Thank you for reaching out. *br> Here is information about As long as it refers to a standard assembly, I will say yes The use of this device for other purposes is possible, however In standard assemblies, if you observe that the float is completely submerged without shutting off, or if the float "bounces" all by itself without stopping, normally, it means that the float is either too small or too short to permit reliable operation at that level. It is possible that your application may require a shorter stem, bent stem, or smaller float than recommended this will reduce the amount of leverage or buoyancy necessary to close the valve, reducing the maximum recommended It is possible to compensate for a sharp drop in the inlet pressure using a pressure regulator. The assembly will not need to be modified or a regulator will be installed. It is also recommended that you select a smaller standard assembly to fit your available space, or smaller orifice sizes to achieve reliable shutoff When the pressure is higher, the engine shuts off. It should be noted that reducing the inlet pressure or selecting a smaller orifice size will result in a lower GPM flow rate. You might want to consider using two smaller valves instead of one larger one to meet your space and GPM requirements without reducing the flow.

If you plan on mounting at the top of the tank, it's fine, but not when used in the bottom of the tank
4/5

The bulkhead mount can either be PS100SS (1-inch) While standard mount) valves can be mounted one way and only on the TOP of the tank, PT75SS (3/4") valves must be mounted one way and in the middle of the Others can be mounted upside-down at the bottom of the tank and can be configured so that the valve can be attached to a long rod with a float mounted at the top. A 7-inch valve) my be enough The tank is 6 feet high and 3000 gallons in capacity There is a plastic rod on the top of the valve connecting it with a float. It's not possible to do that with a This valve measures 1 inch in diameter. The problem is that it requires you to fill the tank from the top, which is inconvenient if you need to connect several tanks at the bottom so that they all fill to the same level. I'm not sure why these float valve manufacturers claim that you always want to fill from the top when filling a tank. The Kerick valve sleeve throats are smaller than they seem to be based on the specs. By way of example, the throat of a 3/4-inch valve only has an inside diameter of 5/8 inch. The extra thickness of the walls of the valve is to blame for this. The ID in the 1- is the same as the smaller ID The inch valve and 1 inch valve are both available. The valve is 5 inches long. As a result, if you buy one of those, you shouldn't expect that the inside diameter of it will be the same as the ID of the PVC fitting of the same size. ' and higher) with a minimum of six digits This is a float ball with a diameter of 2. 5 inches. There is a problem with a four-way switch not reliably shutting it off A little more force is required to close the valve with an inch of float (not enough).

The product works as expected
4/5

It is designed for mounting on the side. I've expected it to work. A hose runs to it inside of a 1350 gallon tank where I use There is only one thing I would have liked to have seen a more universal mounting arrangement. Due to the fact that it was installed at the top of the tank, I had to discard the 6" rod I bought for it and replace it with a 13". To achieve this, I bent the 13" rod so However, once I added that modification, it worked like a charm.

It works very well
5/5

We used this to fill up our irrigation tank from the main water line. It is well made and easy to install. When you are running the valve at 60 psi inlet pressure, you must use the 6" float and 12" rod so it has ample leverage to completely shut the valve. With the 4" float and 6" rod, it did not shut off completely when the pressure was raised.

This arm can be adjusted to fit any height - it was a nice feature I think it worked quite Unfortunately, that's not the case
3/5

This arm can be adjusted to fit any height - it was a nice feature I think it worked quite Despite repeated efforts to shut off the valve, the water didn't completely disappear It wasn't a dribble at all, it had about half of the flow's power A valve of this size shuts off the tank after hitting it up several times, which is a lot for a valve this size. I could reach down and press the valve for it to shut off. In the end, I just switched to manually turning off and on water instead of automating it since the amount of monitoring made me unable to tolerate it. The frustration is real.

The valve stopped working when I connected it with brass from China- Obviously, it will have to be done
5/5

The valve I was using to link brass Chinese made valves has stopped working- We should wait to see how the long term use affects the results.
