The entire structure is made of metal

They appear to be well-made, and they are all made of metal, as stated. The handle is non-magnetic and of a reasonable weight. I'd guess aluminum, but there's a chance it's some other dubious alloy. Because the set screw is quite loose, I recommend using Locktite to keep it from vibrating loose.
