There is an option to separate them in the middle and add links if you buy two of them. It is also possible to unscrew the last link that is screwed down. In order to protect your wires, the beginning or end of the chain is fastened to an immovable part of whatever device you are using the chain for. Towline 10 x 10mm Semi Enclosed Type Plastic is a nice cable chain, but the photo of the ends is wrong. I have attached a picture of what I received in place of the photo. We are not happy with our situation.
When I was building a CNC machine, I tried to 3d print the drag chain, but it was too difficult to do. My mom found it and the price was great. I found it on the web and it worked better than what I could print.
There are tabs that can't be broken on the 25x38 size, so you can't open it without damaging them. We manufacture CNC machines, so this is not the first time I am working with cable carrier. As well, two of the 9 1m sections had broken end tabs straight from the package after ordering. There appears to be far too much brittleness in the plastic. Instead, I will be sticking with the battle-tested IGUS brand. I'm hoping to use this carrier as an alternative to IGUS.
