CASE HARDENED CHAIN IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFEAT OR CUT - Bolt cutters can't cut the case hardened chain. Bolt cutters cannot get a good grip on the chain because of its square link shape, and the lock has been specially designed to be nearly impossible to grip with burglary tools. This chain can only be broken with an acetylene torch, and even that will take a long time.

What kind of grinder blade do you have? Is this a Grinder Blade that is used in industry? To cut this chain, you'll need industrial machinery. Cannot be cut with common bolt cutters or chain cutting tools used by thieves.

Is it possible to use a 7/16 shackle with the links?

Yes. The chain is 3/8" in diameter, with a 1/2" inner diameter.

I did some research on this, and to save others the trouble, the chain is allegedly Pewag 3/8" security chain (and it looks like it), covered in a cordura sheath, and packaged as the "Vulcan" brand. This is good quality, and definitely worth it when you consider it includes free shipping (and it's about 17 lbs. in each chain). Check out the reviews for other "Vulcan security chain" products and combinations if you want to learn more. I took a photo of the delivered product, which is far superior to the stock photo.

This one is only 34 inches long if you stretch it as far as you can. Because most people don't want to wrestle with a long chain, I believe the length should be specified in its relaxed state. Returning for a refund was necessary.

Others, such as kryptonite, sell it; if you're a kryptonite, forget about a chain; a 5-foot chain will set you back a fortune. ft chain Please do yourself a favor and purchase this 9-foot chain. You'll need it in the footer. Save money, time, and aggravation by using this service. Even if you bought it by the foot from Paul, it would be more expensive than buying it from Vulcan. If you have enough money to burn in hell, don't bother with a chain and leave your bike unlocked. However, if you're anything like me, you'll want to keep your bike on this chain.

The word "heavy" in "heavy duty" says it all. Extension ladders were secured with this purchase. I really like how this chain has a sleeve over the links to prevent any metal-on-metal noises or scratches. For storage and transportation, it also comes with a heavy-duty bag with a handle.
