The brass on this item is pure brass and as such may tarnish over time. In contrast, brass plated steel looks shiny gold while brass brite is a material with a brass-like appearance. The items I ordered twice for Amazon were correctly delivered, and they were not the bright and shiny brass I thought they'd be. This listing photo shows a bright and shiny brass object, but it's actually an incorrect photo. A representative of the manufacturer responded directly and acknowledged that the posting photo was mistaken and that it will be rectified. My purchase was handled quickly and in my favor, and they even thank me for pointing out the mistake.

Brite brass is not used

A more antique look. Despite being advertised as brite brass, the chain did not meet expectations. Antique brass is what I'd call it. The fact that they called it incorrectly wasn't a problem for me since it is what I was really after. I did, however, take off one star because it wasn't what I wanted.

Despite the chain's good quality, the photo and description of its color are inaccurate

It is of good quality but the color is different from that in the picture or description. As per the reviews, I had hoped that this would be a darker antique-looking brass. This is what I expected, so I'm pleased with it. However, if you were looking for a gold metal with a lot of gloss, this would not be the one.

The chain is solid and of good quality

Essentially, it's a good, solid, quality product. I don't use it as a weight-loss product Bearing-wise, it appears to be similar to what you could purchase from a hardware store, but what it takes to bend and the size of the links seem to be quite a bit greater than that. My personal concern about the finish is the brass, but I was intrigued by the darker, almost antiqued look of A quick wipe with soapy water and an equally quick scrub with Barkeepers Friend bring this bright and shiny (see the photo). If you'd prefer something even more glossy, a quick wipe with soapy water brightens it upwards considerably.

What is shown is not what is true

I am disappointed that the color is not even close to the As far as the chain looks, it is more brushed and darker in appearance. I was given exactly what I did not want.
