If you are cleaning a grease trap, you should wait for everything to cool before you begin. In the tank, grease sludge will form at the top. If it is not removed, it will lead to explosions and fires. Grease sludge can be as thick as a foot in thickness. If the grease trap has any remaining content, it must also be bailed out. You can use either a scoop or a Shop-Vac to do this This is Vacuum. As soon as all of the sludge and liquids have been removed from the grease trap, the lid, sides, and baffles must be cleaned with a putty knife or a scraper. The inlet and outlet pipes on the tank should be checked to ensure no blockages exist. Make sure the D- is correct Replacing the baffles and lid is very simple. Simply set the ring gasket on the underside of the lid and replace it. Make sure you properly dispose of what has been removed from the grease trap.
For the lid to be removed, it will need to be attached to the unit with screws.
