I use it to hang apples and oranges of medium to almost large size from the top. I also hang bananas from it. fruit, use your hand to catch it as it falls so as not to bruise it.
As a result, limes may be used in it. It will have to be rearrange once you grab a new one though. My experience is that I end up throwing smaller oranges back in when I pick one up. Apples are a perfect match for this.

It's been about a year since I bought it. The apples rolled out of the device, but there was an issue. In the end, I found a solution just by pulling the wires a little bit further down. It was impossible for the apples not to roll out because of high wires at the bottom. Because of its trendy look and the fact that it organizes my fruit bowl, I really like it. A bowl of fruit that isn't rotting will be greatly appreciated. As a result, they do not rot because they are separated.
Any other fruit is too big to use this for, although it works great for limes and small lemons. You can tell how tiny the apples in that photo are and how they are sending out This is a photo of a normal sized apple from a grocery store that did not even come close to fitting. Though we bought it for limes anyway for our bar, so we are happy with it. This is one of our favorite things. Since it's a first in, first out system, you get to use the oldest limes first, which makes sense, too.

This is better for my family and me than a fruit bowl.
