The Ditra Duo, although I do not know how much it helps, is useful on cement slabs due to the extra felt thickness. It is a thermal barrier, but I am not sure how effective it is. I can't believe that it is really that much better than my old felt as I see the mortar fills in tons of it, so I can't identify it as very better than my old felt

The difference between the two is huge! There is a datri heat duo or TB around all heads, and I used regular dtra heat where there is tile such as under the vanity and in closets. When you step into the closet where there isn't a hearing cable, you are bound to feel the chills when you step into it. I'm not sure how well it retains the heat from the wire as opposed to regular ditra heat. When you have heated tile, you will never go back to non heated tile. There is a technical document on the Schluter website that compares the time it takes to hear tile on a concrete substrate using the ditra heat duo to the regular ditra heat and the difference is As a result, there is a long term energy saving.
