As I understand it, it does not There is no way to remove it because it's an integral part of the product. In any case, why would you want it without it?

I have tested many vacuum filters and this is by far the best. The Automatfil product is a great piece of equipment manufactured by a company named Foxx Life Sciences in Boston. As well, I noted that it is made in North America, and it uses Class VI materials as well as Sterilized 10-percent alcohol. There are six VDMaxs in the United States. The Corning brand is sterilised only at 10 degrees in China, and Millipore manufactures its products in China.
