This is a must-have for any retro build! It mounts ACOG or pic rail to the carry handle and is extremely sturdy. This process is painful, but there is no other way (unless you get the thumb screw version). Comes with a special allen wrench to fit in between the carry handle and receiver.
Although the listing does not state that it includes an Allen wrench, all of the others I've tried have been difficult to remove; this one comes with the correct size.
If you plan to mount your ACOG on an older AR-style rifle's carry handle, you'll need this. 15, the scope may not seat properly in the top and will continue to sit at a gradual angle front to back. To mount this screw in the ACOG's back mounting position, I needed to drill a second hole in the carry handle. In other words, the ACOG was attached to the carry handle with two screws rather than just one in the middle. I was able to solve my zeroing issue. At 100 yards, I'm almost able to knock the target's center out. The grooved washer and screw threaded find mated perfectly to the underside of my carry handle, which was no surprise.
11 are connected to an AR-type weapon. Carry handle for the 15A2 HBar. The scope came with a flat top AR mount but no screw for attaching it to a carry handle. I bought one from Optics Planet that was functional but blocked the fixed sights. I finally got this set, so I can use the Iron Sights now. This is very effective and secures the scope to the rifle very well.
It really works. It's great to see these still exist. It was great when this worked perfectly because I was working on an old school build and no one uses carry handles anymore. I'm very pleased.
This is a genuine Trijicon product, not a cheap knockoff.
It's a lot of money for a screw and washer, but it's ideal for mounting the sight on top of the carrying handle. Although I am unable to purchase a Trijicon sight, this nut worked on my FakeCog.
