Thumb screws that are really good. These tools make removing the engine cover bolts on my boat much easier. I have been using them on my boat to replace the engine cover bolts. As well as replacing the old plastic seat retainers on the boat, I am also using them as seat retaining straps for the boat. Their low profile means that only a few inches of them stick out, which gives them a neat appearance. Please remember to keep a watch on them when you tighten them all the way down. The low-profile of the wands may make them hard to unscrew, so I recommend using a lock to keep them secure You should put a nut and washer between them and the thing you are holding on to.
