Questions & Answers
These will work if the staple requires 18GA staples. The staples can be used in almost any staple gun that uses 18 GA staples.
We can't guarantee that they'll work with the Bostitch Flooring Stapler because the Porter Cable Staples haven't been tested with the Bostitch Flooring Stapler.
I don't know; I have a Hitachi stapler, but it's possible they're the same.
It's very likely that it will work with my Ryobi nail guns and a stapler from a different brand!

The word "galvanized" appears in the product description area but does not appear on the box, which states "For interior use only" when you open the flap. I didn't buy them for use in the interior; soffit isn't exactly an interior feature.
Despite the fact that the product description stated that the box would be galvanized, the box that was sent to me was not. For outdoor use, galvanized steel is required.
I'm not sure why they're described on Amazon and the Porter-Cable website as "good fasteners for the price," but they're good fasteners. The box is described on the cable website as having a galvanized coating, but it has no such description and is marked "for interior use only. " Why aren't they suitable for outdoor use if they're galvanized? Unfortunately, I didn't notice the discrepancy until I had almost used up the entire box stapling chicken wire and fencing to outdoor chicken coops. br>br>UPDATE: 4/10/2017 UPDATED: 4/10/2017 UPDATED: 4/10/2017 UPDATED: 4/10/2017 Regarding the interior use disclaimer, I reached out to Porter Cable. Their quick response (thank you, porter cable) was as follows: "Unfortunately, even though they are made of galvanized steel, they can still discolor when used outside, so we only recommend stainless steel for outdoor use. " "I'm hoping it's just a cosmetic issue, as their response makes no mention of corrosion. " In a year or two, I suppose I'll find out.
Galvanized is not the right word! I just took them out of the shipping bag to use them and discovered that they were not what was advertised. These are clearly "Interior" items rather than galvanized. It's a bummer to have to leave a job because of a minor blunder. lie? and it's only been a few days since they were supposed to return. argh!.
These were purchased to be used in a stapler. I've gone through almost the entire box and haven't had any jams or issues with them. It was much easier to lay down a subfloor for vinyl tile. I'd purchase it again.
Size is enormous.
Those are some seriously fine staples. I haven't yet broken my finger, but I'm confident that one of these will suffice.
