It is a welcome relief to use these connectors instead of struggling with wire nuts, only to discover in the end that one wire was Whenever I make a connection, I always test it to make sure it is strong, and these connectors always feel solid to me. Pulling on a wire while twisting it will pull it out of the connector, and you can pull it apart and put it back together if needed. From what I have read about this, I was led to believe they should not be used for high current connections since they do not have enough contact surface for such voltage over time. But for lights, etc. , they work fine. There are a number of wire nuts that, when installed by licensed electricians, appear to become very loose to the point where they can fall off, and this is a serious fire hazard. However, these do work on stranded wire only if you tin the wire first. I know, I know, but tinning isn't that difficult, and it really does stop fraying, so it should be noted.
The user interface is simple. This product has made my life easier and I love how easy it makes my work, but the downside is it is The final decision is to connect, so make sure you're ready to do so. The cap connector serves as a watch for when the final wires leave the connector. Thanks to this tool, I can replace the cap.
I have already ordered Happy with my purchase. Having been an electrician for many years, I prefer these over wire nuts and caps. Since only 2 wires are available, you are obviously more limited since you can't connect 3 or 4 wires together I bought a 4-ft. and found it to be way more secure and easier to use than the wire version etc.
Now there are no nuts to deal with, meaning that it's easier to wire a lot without tiring your wrists and forearms. When changing wiring, keep the wire firmly held and release it when you are done.
Easy to use and works on strands as well as wire nuts. Connection between the ceiling fan and the box was incredibly.
What an amazing product. It works so much better than twisting on the caps your mother used to use.
This device is easy to use and best used with a 12-volt battery.
