There is nothing good about these things. Even though they are not one-time use, they are not disposable. Despite a lot of silicone grease, the metal spring is not secure, and they have to take the whole thing out asap.

I have never used a product such as this. During the process of removing wire nuts from wires, the embedded spring which grabs the conductors comes out of the plastic, rendering it worthless and forcing it to be cut from the wire. I haven't encountered any issues with self-removing wire nuts in 40 years. It is not a good idea to destroy.

There is no end to the number of broken ones. It's really hard to twist the thing the metal inside and the plastic cap around the opening snap off as soon as you twist it. Then all sorts of greasy stuff comes out. There is no point to this, and I have no idea how so many positive reviews have been written. The concept of its functionality is not functional in any way, so I don't know if people are rating it.

I like to do things once, so I buy grease-filled wire nuts.
It's kind of expensive, but I like to do things once. The wiring of landscape valves is exposed to the elements as well! My wire nuts are not quite as robust as I would like. I like to tighten them really tight so I do not I found that when I tightened the first one of them, the guts came out attached to the wire. I loosen the rest a little, but layer off on the tightening.

When a slight tug is applied, they come apart. It would seem that the wire spring comes out of the cap as if it was not There is no tape that can keep them together.

In spite of this, they meet most of my requirements. There is plenty of gel inside them as well as solid gripping of the wires.

To date, every time I have attempted to repair my underground dog fence with standard wire nuts and electrical tape, it has failed. The results of this product have been good so far.
