According to other reviews, I was worried that the spring clip connectors would not work very well, so I bought the assortment anyway. The clamps might work fine for very small currents, and they are convenient, but since they clamp the wire against the plastic housing, any heating will cause problems because the plastic will melt. Some of these melted when a model train that they were driving derailed (one of them there was smoke and scorching). In spite of the circuit breakers on the track, none of them tripped because there was not enough current, and the wires did not heat enough to melt the insulation except where they joined in the spring clip terminals. If you are going to use screw down terminals with metal barrels to hold the wire, those are perfect, but spring clip ones should only be used for applications that require VERY low current. Their convenience may outweigh their limitations at that point.
You did a pretty good job. The device I am referring to is listed elsewhere as having a maximum recommended power rating of 300 Watts (my limit would be more like that of hobby electronic circuits powered by wall warts). There is absolutely no way that 250V, 10A, 2500W is possible! As opposed to using just screws, it would be more convenient to use clamp style connectors.

There is, however. This connector is great for tying wires together. It was only the ports for inserting that I needed.
