Yes, you can use it to make a basic electromagnet. That is, after all, what it was made for. To ensure a good contact, sandpaper the wire's ends to remove any varnish.
Yes, but it's taped to the outside of the center through a triangular hole, and removing it from the tape without damaging the rest of the winding will likely require a pair of very small needle tweezers. In the center of the picture, you can see a partial edge of the access hole. I'm guessing you're trying to turn it into a solenoid/metal projectile or tesla coil without having to wind it on to something else. Just so you know, if you're making a Tesla coil, only one layer of winding is recommended. Be safe. Every day, people are killed by 120v power. The amps/time ratio is the most important factor to consider. A standard tazer has a voltage of 15,000 volts but only a few amps. DC power refuses to relinquish its grip on the situation. The use of air conditioning can cause an increase in heart rate. Working with electricity should be done with caution. Electricians are kept alive by maintaining a slow and steady pace.

I honestly have no idea and don't have a sample to test.

The wire is fine in and of itself, but the way it was wrapped is not. It snapped while I was manually winding tattoo coils with 2 pounds of tension, and I couldn't find the end. It was discovered to be under a tangle of wire, which is why it snapped in the first place. To find the end of the plastic spool, I had to literally destroy it. What a thorn in the side! Aside from that, I have no issues. I'm not sure if I'll buy anything else from them.
It served as the basis for an electromagnet.
Wire of excellent quality with a flawless enamel finish. Other AWG sizes have been purchased by me. All of them are of excellent quality.
I'm so glad I took the plunge and purchased this brand of wire!.
This item had no flaws in my opinion. I don't see why I should lower it from a five-star rating. This does not imply that I am enthralled by this particular spool of wire. So there you have it. This is my personal opinion.
Except the leading end of the wire is taped inside the coil, so if you want to make a magnet with it as is, you'll have to unwind the entire thing to get to the other lead, then wind it back up, which takes time and ruins the coil's machine precision.
