The product information on the HiLetgo website is identical to the Amazon text. This is problematic because some characteristics of these displays differ from one manufacturer to the next. This is extremely inconvenient because we need to know whether or not a resistor is present on the LED power line, as well as how much power it consumes. Yes, you could use information from another manufacturer, but you'd have to assume it's the same. For this, HiLetgo receives a thumbs down.
They should, because hd44780 is a generic. I did my testing on a single uno.

These are referred to as "Serial LCD Modules," and the detailed description makes a big deal about how they only require two pins to connect to Arduino, despite the fact that they are actually parallel interface LCD modules. They can be used in conjunction with an I2C-compatible device. These adapters are not included in the package. As a result, they're not considered "Serial LDC Modules. " br>However, for applications that can spare six digital I/O pins, this isn't an issue. I haven't tried these yet, but they appear to be a good deal if they work.
These were purchased to connect to an Arduino Uno. First and foremost, they are parallel displays, not serial displays, as some of the questions and reviews suggest. They interface well and are extremely bright. Keep an eye on the polarity of the VSS and VDD pins, as I hooked mine up backwards. The display was not damaged, but the Arduino's code had to be stopped. The backlight is extremely bright (and could most likely be dimmed). Keep an eye out for the contrast pin. Mine was set to number two. There were no characters in 5V. I came in at around 1. For a decent character display, 2 volts is required (note: Use a ten thousand dollar pot. It's a great working display aside from that. Another thing to note is that there are no connectors on this, so you'll need to solder wires or a connector to it.
This is a good product at a good price, but the LCDs are parallel rather than serial. Their customer service is exceptional, and they were willing to work with me to resolve the issue, and they followed up to ensure that I was satisfied. 4 stars for the product and customer service, but a one-star deduction for the deceptive advertising. This is a company from which I would definitely purchase again.

If nothing appears on the display after you plug in the adapter, adjust the blue trim pot on the adapter. The brightness on mine was turned down when it was shipped.
I love that charger; it's been a lifesaver for me over the years, but the display began to show random characters and worsened to the point where I couldn't read it at times. I got two new screens and replaced the one in my charger for less than the cost of shipping on a new charger, and it works fine now! I also have a spare in case I need it for this or another project in the future. This is hilarious!.
I didn't expect much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well they functioned. Once I figured out how they worked, they were both usable. Although they will never fly in a spaceship, they are well worth the money for what I needed for my home project.
in place of these, soldered I2C boards! I bought these when I was a newbie and had no idea what I was doing. There are 1602 LCD Display Modules available with pre-programmed information. Available for purchase are soldered I2C boards and jumper wires. Why would anyone want to purchase these and then have to solder I2C boards to them?.
These are connected to a Raspberry Pi. The only issue I ran into was that the power supplied by the header was insufficient to power the display and interface, so I added a separate 5 volt power supply. These exhibits are fantastic. I didn't have to do anything else after I set up the back light and contrast. They're in a couple of projects I'm working on. The 4-point scale is what I use. bit mode.
