It really works. The furnace relay had to be replaced, and the furnace company wanted $50 for it. It's just a regular DPDT relay with an LY2 footprint. To switch the 110V furnace circuits, I purchased this model with a 24v coil. Despite the fact that I purchased an Omron product, I could have purchased any LY2 footprint relay with a 24V coil.
What else can I say except that it works in my Arco zone controller for my heating system. My old relay did not always activate, but now it does with this replacement. For $12, I was able to get my hydronic system up and running again. The quality appears to be quite good; we'll have to wait and see how long it lasts, but I expect it to last at least as long as the original, which was 12 years.
