The 12v dc version of the led isn't as bright as the 110v version, how bright is it?

My guess is that 110vac or 12vdc lights will be very bright when they are in direct sunlight, but I am not sure about 110vac lights. This may be of some assistance.

During the installation of the HVAC system, there was a need for an indicator light

There is a customer who does not want the thermostat to be changed so that the new equipment can communicate with it. That's too bad! At least with these LED lights, it was possible to add a dry contact relay to indicate a system malfunction, and to wire this relay in using an extra 24 volt line. It is easy to see with the large light.
